Extrememly noisy, uncomfortable bed
Pros:

Bedding was clean.
Lady at the bar to book in for the night was friendly and offered to help us with our things.

Cons:

Extrememly loud music from the bar below gone 11pm, impossible to block out, even with the tv up to a ridiculous volume, would be OK if you like drinking and use the bar and di t wa t to sleep until gone 11pm.
Bed was very uncomfortable, mattress was soft and sagging, pillows very flat.
Bathroom tap was loose, shower water was either extremely hot or freezing, there was nowhere to hang anything in the bathroom, also no toilet seat.
Room got uncomfortably hot during the night.

Such a lovely, quiet place (until we got there anyway!) The room was immaculately clean, lovely comfortable beds, fluffy towels, tea and coffee available - everything you could want but what makes this stay so lovely are the hosts. We came in rather late from visiting relatives and we were met at the door (after trying the wrong key😬) by a lovely gent who let us in with cheerful good humour. We left with moments to spare in the morning because no one wanted to get up! Just lovely. Thanks Village Inn. We will book again.

Not a very good place to stay
Pros:

The room itself was good, the beds were comfortable, the location was really good, and the staff was very nice and friendly.

Cons:

We were disappointed as soon as we entered the room; it was freezing, like we had entered a refrigerator. The windows were open and the heating was off, even though it was 2 degrees outside.
Furthermore, they rent rooms to families with children when there is very loud music playing late into the night, As soon as we arrived they said the music stopped at 10 pm, which wasn't the case.

Staff were super friendly and helpful. Room was comfortable. Check in process was easy.

Cons:

Burglar alarm went off at 5am and stayed on for about 15minutes!
Shower took ages to get hot.
