There were building works taking place making everything dusty . The loud noise of the leaf blower every day was incredibly annoying. The noise made by staff early in the morning was not good.

Overall the stay was very relaxing but there was a problem with check in that really wasnt resolved. It was great to walk arouls and the shuttle was very convenient. Its a shame they dont stay open later at night fors around the pool area.

Room very basic and new renovations. Bedding was terrible, mattress well worn and pillows were vile!
We stayed in the twin room, would never stay in these rooms again.
Facilities on the complex were fantastic, just a shame about the room

Pros:

First trip to Sun City so we weren't sure what to expect. Had requested a quiet room prior to arrival. First room I was shown was the antithesis of that being near the pool (which has very loud music playing all day) and beside the housekeeping room complete with banging of garbage cans, staff chatting, etc. Requested to move and was given an old room at the very far end of the resort. Sub standard.

Service was desultory at best. Bar closes at 6:30pm regardless of the number of customers. Breakfast buffet identical every day. Housekeeping did a fine job of cleaning but it took 3 requests for towel replacement when they forgot to leave clean ones. It seems most of the staff aren't particularly interested in being there.

The complex itself is obviously casino-centric. There are very few activities available in the evenings besides gambling and even most bars close fairly early.

The highlight was definitely golf. The 13th hole on Lost City with the crocodiles was memorable. The Gary Player course is walking only with mandatory caddies who carry the clubs (my caddy was excellent and a far superior golfer to me!)

Offhand staff, tired room needing maintenance, shower fluctuates from hot to cold. Canteen style breakfast, good choice of food but offhand staff and format let it down. Grounds around the hotel strewn with litter swept from the rooms, used soap, used coffee and sugar packets, cocktail sticks etc etc. Overall for the price per night, Poor.

We had a couple of small hiccups but Bonny Monyatsi more than took the trouble to make amends. Which was excellent customer service. Best we have received anywhere. A credit too the hotel.
Rooms on the smaller side. Good breakfast with plenty of variety and large pool with lots of sunbeds.

Pros:

Room had everything we needed to make our stay enjoyable, and it would have been helpful to have the kids sleeping explained to us. The staff and service was exceptional with a great breakfast option with something for each of us.
As a recommendation it would be helpful to have a drying area for wet swimwear.
We would definitely book and stay again.

Pros:

Family room was very small and the fold out couch is not very comfortable. The property needs some love and care in the rooms and around the facility. It was a comfortable stay for 4 days.
The staff were so lovely and the breakfast was amazing with so many choices.

Pros:

Our stay was fantastic. As a family we had a great amazing time together. The food, loads of it, was delicious. For the evening meal we had the option of the fastfood up in the Sun City Centre. The package we took included the valley of waves entrance for everyone and everyday we where there, including check-in day and checkout day. We had a great room, loved the shower, kids had the TV for a few minutes before they fell off to sleep exhausted from the amazing time in the valley of waves with all the slides and the tings to do.

It was awesome.
