Nice comfortable area and thankful for the renovations they are currently doing.
Pros:

The room was confortable.

Cons:

There was an additional charge of $25 that was separate from the original transition. Where I asked the lady at the front desk, she was not pleasant and said they did not charge me anything. What she should have said, that I learned later is that it was a hold placed on the card for essentials. It was later removed from my card.

Another excellent stay in Valdosta.
Pros:

We have stayed at this property a number of times and it is consistently above average. There are some renovations going on right now, but they did not affect our stay. Rooms are larger than most (we usually get a king suite), the bathrooms are clean, the shower water pressure is excellent (trust me, this is a thing), and the beds are super comfortable. The complimentary breakfast offers more than the average property, with plenty of hot options, not just bagels and coffee. This property has earned our repeat patronage, and we will continue to book.

Cons:

After some hard thought, there is nothing that we do not like about this property.

Renovations Underway
Pros:

Because of a winter storm we made reservations on the road with only the hotels app site to use as guidance. This hotel is in the middle of MAJOR renovations, inside and outside that are not indicated anywhere until you pull up. It looks like it will be terrific and the location is actually wonderful. There were many many visitors checking in. After some discussion with a (maybe new) front desk person who seemed to have memorized a script, we were fortunate to be assigned a renovated room. It was really huge, large TV, great desk and bathroom, wet bar with terrific coffee, new mattress and heating unit. It also had workers toothpicks on the windowsill. The closet is interesting: small hanger area but 2 shelves, no door. It's good that the blackout curtains work well, as the conference center next door has a Las Vegas brightly lit sign. The breakfast/sitting area is very nice, with stained glass art about Valdosta at the top of one wall. Exceptional touch. Ask before you book, this hotel has potential when completed.
