Proximity to the Eaton center, food options and subway stops. Room was clean and spacious, with the luxury of a kitchen.
Guest services was slow when we phoned to request items. Several hours later and still didn't show up.
Bed and pillows were just ok.
Stayed at this hotel on Friday night as we had tickets to a concert at Massey Hall. I initially chose it because of its closeness to the venue ( a literal 2 min walk), but was so pleasantly surprised at its proximaty to so many things. There are a number of great restaurants, tons of shopping, and even more theatres for performances than I could count Our room was spacious, clean and well equipped, having a large seating area that was separate form the sleeping area, and the bathroom had plenty of space and ammenities. We had breakfast the next morning at the hotel which was fantastic(try the double bacon breakfast sandwich!) and the service was lovely. Had a couple of cocktails in the bar pre show, and that was lovely too! This will be my new go-to for short stays downtown!
James was terrific at the front desk. Friendly and helpful.
My girlfriend and I spent a lovely night at this hotel for Valentine's Day. The room was clean and the bathroom was very nice and spacious. Their front of house staff, James and Paul, were extremely welcoming and made the stay especially special. Would definitely go back in the future!
My boyfriend and I stayed here on two separate occasions, and each time we enjoyed our stay. The receptionists James and Paul were exceptional. They were friendly, kind, and welcoming. The check-in/out process was quick and easy. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The bathroom was nice and spacious. The noise level was minimal. The location was also great. I have zero complaints. We will be coming back!
This was our first time staying at Pantages Hotel and we were pleasantly surprised. The room was very spacious and clean.
James at the front desk was extremely friendly and professional.
When visiting Toronto again, we will definitely book with Pantages!
Highly recommend to anyone looking for a nice hotel in a very ideal location near the Eaton’s Centre.
Shoutout to James at the front desk — super friendly, incredibly helpful, and full of budget-friendly tips for helping us with our stay. When we decided to stay an extra night, he made it absolutely effortless! I love that he remembered our names as we came and went from the hotel.
Paul was also super friendly at the front desk and so polite.
Absolutely amazing. Staff was very friendly with great recommendations. Breakfast was also fantastic. Room was great.
We went to the theatre for an evening show and afterwards the walk to the hotel was less than a minute! So convenient!
It must also be a wonderful place to stay for people visiting St Mikes hospital.
Pella at the front desk was very helpful and friendly!
It would be nice if their little restaurant was open for after theatre light bites.
The location of the hotel is fantastic. The service absolutely amazing. Special shoutout to Pella at the front desk, she is an absolute star and made sure we were well looked after.
Kamrs, Aadi and Paul were fantastic. Great hotel, great service. Very helpful and alwsys very pleasant to deal with.
Location, security, cleanliness, STAFF
Nothing - lived it here.
We had a 3 night stay at Pantages Hotel - coming to Toronto to attend 2 Blue Rodeo shows at Massey Hall.
This was our first stay at Pantages Hotel and it won’t be our last. The location is excellent for Massey Hall, theatres and the Eaton Centre with many dining choices in close proximity. But the most impressive thing for us was the amazing staff at the reception desk - in particular I will mention Pella - she was very efficient and most helpful. We felt welcomed when we entered the lobby and so appreciated Pella’s thoughtful attention to detail and helpfulness with anything we needed. Thank you - our stay was delightful and comfortable during the January deep freeze.
First time at this hotel which we picked because we were seeing a concert at Massey Hall on a Friday night. Perfect location for our needs, it was so nice to just cross the street when the concert ended. The staff is great, shout out to James at main reception who was so helpful and personable. The hotel is beautiful, clean and in a great area with the Eaton Centre only a 4 minute walk away. The rooms were clean and well decorated. Great bathroom and I loved the fact the floors were not carpeted.
Where I am torn though is how noisy the rooms are at night. The bathroom fan does not turn off, there are sounds coming from the vents that sound like it could have been the elevator going up and down, even though we were not near the elevator. The worst part was at around 5:30 am there was incessant beeping coming from outside that lasted for a good 30 minutes at least. I thought it might have been snow removal but when I looked out it was a delivery truck. There were several more trucks parked down there in the morning before we checked out, the rest didn’t beep but you could hear them running and being unloaded.
I’ll try staying here 1 more time next time I have a concert at Massey Hall, but I would ask not to be located over the alley where they get their deliveries.
