The only reason I gave four stars was because of The Admirals Room buffet breakfast, it wasn’t good.
My wife and I have been staying at Dunes for many years. It has become like home to us. We appreciate the exterior updates that were visible this last stay.
Two people at Dunes Village made our vacation exceptional-Lori and Vito. Their kindness and helpfulness keep us returning. Lori has become a dear friend over these years, and Vito is absolutely charming. Everyone at the front desk was courteous and accommodating.
We enjoy the location of Dunes Village. Without big hotels on one side the beach is less congested during peak seasons. Parking is easy and accessible. It is across the street from the resort but has never been an issue for us. We like the bigger parking garage rather than the small and cramped parking areas at other resorts/hotels.
Overall our room was ok for us. We had a double suite which was simple but we don’t need anything more. I do wish the furnishings would be improved/updated but I have to say the beds are extremely comfortable.
We will be returning in July this summer and again in the fall.
Family friendly with lots to do. Liked that it was on the beach
Need more bathrooms by indoor pools/lazy river.
This is our 4th time at Dunes Village. Would have been 5th but Covid ruined our plans one year. We love that we are right on the beach with great views. The kids love the indoor/outdoor water park and pools. Staff was always friendly. The different cleaning staff/maintenance guys we came across were always friendly. It was always nice to chat to Vito while we would wait for my husband to grab our vehicle. We didn’t have house keeping really but as a mom of three I am used to keeping things tidy anyway and it was not a problem and we didn’t ask for it and didn’t really need it. They did get us towels/ change them out when they did catch us. We are enjoyed breakfast each day and I think they lowered the price a bit this year but I could be wrong. No complaints and Dunes Village has become our must do for a family vacation. I have yet to find anywhere else that comes close to the space we need with three kids of varying ages that’s also actually family friendly and cost effective.
We loved the water park areas and beach access!
We did not love the parking garage across the street. It was a bit of a hassle.
The furniture is getting old and run down. The sofa sleeper was badly stained, and the mattress was so worn that I could feel every spring and metal bar on my back. The pillows were so hard and the staff said they had no other options for us. And why do you put a tv in front of a mirror?
Pools are dirty and unkept. People are aggressive, the staff is rude.
It looked nothing like the pictures, the staff are rude, and the people in general are aggressive and want to fight.
Nice people
It’s was fine
The pool was excellent but could use staff .
The beds super hard ,food in the pool, rooms need upgrades, small details that would make huge difference
great place, convenient and loved that it’s right on the beach! very clean! only issue is that the crib we requested was a bit gross but we were able to improvise with other sheets and blankets. i would just kindly ask the resort to replace their cribs or provide crib sheets to go with them.
Access to the beach the staff at the desk did his best to help a crappy situation better but unfortunately he was happy to switch me rooms without me even asking but the room he gave us as a fix was worse than the first one. It had a horrible smell in it and was very outdated and everything in the room was dingy. So we just sucked it up and stayed in the original room. But the staff member did his best to help however he could
Place was dirty. Internet in the room did not work half the lights in the room didn’t work thing it was a circuit breaker or something. But one of the two tvs didn’t work at all would not turn on really couldn’t watch tv anyway because the wifi and router wasn’t working. So the tv couldn’t play anything anyway.
I didn’t eat the breakfast but everything was perfect
No comment
I liked the location and the oceanfront room
The bathroom sink was old looking
Location was the best
