Will stay here again
Pros:

I like the indoor water parks for children. Restaurant on site. And the itinerary for the children to get involved doing different activities.

Cons:

I didn't like that breakfast was not free and unavailable at both locations only one

Enjoyed our stay! We will be back--just with lower expectations of the "resort".
Pros:

Loved the setup for our kids! They played nonstop everyday and it was easy for us adults to also have fun!

Cons:

Service was slow for Tiki bar food. That bar needs 2 bartenders during the peak times. Beds were very hard and I coulnd't get comfortable. Room was a bit musty. Breakfast was expensive!

All in all we had a terrific stay at Dunes Village! It’s the perfect family hotel.
Pros:

I love the ocean views, when we first entered our room we were wowed by the view, the fact that the whole wall is a window and not just the doors made the view even more spectacular. The hotel is very clean and there is plenty to do with the kids. We loved the different pool areas. The fact that the hotel was full but you didn’t feel crammed because of the wide variety of areas was a huge plus!

Cons:

My only complaints are 1, it would be nice for the cafe and food places to stay open later if the pools are open until 11 maybe food and drink should be as well. My second complaint is the king studio with pullout couch, the pullout beds are terribly uncomfortable, I recommend upgrading those to something a little more comfortable.

on-site facilities and staff were great, but the room was less than ideal.
Pros:

The facility amenities and staff were great and helpful

Cons:

The room smelled horrible upon arrival, pillow cases had stains on them, everything was just dingy (outlets, doors, light switches, carpet, etc. A maintenance man had to use a sawzaw to get my door open on night because the latch on the door was loose and closed when we shut the door. We were unable to get into our room.

Has Seen Better Days
Pros:

This place has potential but it seems like its glory days are long gone.

Highlights-
Location. It’s located directly on the beach so you can easily get to the beach and have access. We stayed in Palmetto Towers

Kids things. We have 6 year olds and they loved the water park and the activities. They also have a playground and several water things for the kids.

Low lights-

This place is trash. The carpet and walls look dirty and dingy. The units are privately owned so it’s a mixed bag and the resort doesnt take accountability nor can they move you to better rooms like a normal hotel.

When we checked in a lady was complaining about insect powder being all over her room and broken Murphy beds. Front desk did nothing, just told her they could get somebody to look.

We had dirty towels, dirty sleep sofa with no sheets, hair was all over our room and it just looked overall gross. Nobody really seemed to care. We were booked. And that was it.

We won’t be back. I’m extremely disappointed at the level of service and the overall upkeep of this place. They have all of the makings of a good family resort but they don’t seem to care about making the place look nice or offering decent service.

Overall, it was a great stay. The hotel room could use a little updating .
Pros:

The kids loved the water park . They stayed in the water and the beach all day. They had events for the kids and all .

Cons:

I thought the bathroom in our room could be an updated and cleaner. It wasn’t horrible but definitely was aged. Some grout dirt or mold
