Pleasant, comfortable hotel with attractive outdoor spaces at bargain price compared to Europe/USA.
Pros:

Hotel was pleasant. My room was comfortable. I liked all the outdoor space in the back near pool -- shaded spaces to eat meals and hang out. The location was convenient for taxis and work colleagues to pick me up. It was Botswana winter and almost no one used the pool -- I managed a quick, cold swim almost every day -- it was delightful and invigorating!

Cons:

There were not inviting locations nearby to walk to unless you were going to tennis center. The University of Botswana is located a short distance away but I did not know if there was gate so that only students and faculty could enter. I am used to walking. If I returned for work, I would ask about places to walk to and recommended routes for a woman walking alone. I could not reliably access internet from my room -- it was better to use internet from sitting area near entrance.

very positive - staff was extremely friendly.
Pros:

The view was into the parking lot. We were not too unhappy because it was very quiet; there was no noise from cars, as it was quite empty. For dinner, the only options were around a pool or at a bar. Pool tables were always full. At a bar, the music was just too loud. The main restaurant was not open for dinner unless it was booked for other activities. However, the manager allowed us to sit in the restaurant area and served us personally—something you don't easily find elsewhere. Breakfast was very good. However, for people like me (continental breakfast), I was missing a variety of meat and cheese. The beef pastrami was very good, but it was the only meat option; the cheese selection was nonexistent.... Otherwise, the sweet and non-sweet breads, nuts, yoghurts, etc, were perfect. More fruit, please.

Cons:

Good location. Comfortable. Good amenities. Make sure you have a garden facing room (pay the extra)
Pros:

Location. Pool area is lovely. Rooms comfortable but you need to pay for an upgrade if you don't want to face the noisy and busy main road.

Cons:

Road noise very bad -- have to pay for upgrade to get a garden facing room.

Pros:

I like the hotel had a small shop in the lobby to get quick meals and coffee. The staff was friendly and cordial

Cons:

Internet connectivity was a problem for first few days I stayed; When I showered the water from shower would go to toilet as they were attached; The hotel was okay but having seen other Avani branches I was a bit disappointed in the interior design.Maybe this was more for business travel and not like other luxury Avani's I have seen.
