Great location. Right by Clifton Hill. Staff were friendly and even gave me an upgrade.
Very dirty. Very run down. Didn't bother with breakfast, after reading reviews. Air conditioning didn't work well and it was hot in our room.. Ice machine isn't convenient.
Terrible connection with the TV. There were plugs that didn't work and lights that took a minute to work after you turn them on.
Le service internet
Le système internet est defaillant
Les douches et toillettes ne drainent pas l'eau
Location
Needs attention in some areas.
Location was amazing, walking distance from major place. It was clean.
Only feedback is room was a bit humid, not very airy, woke up feeling "wet" from sweat. Had to pay for parking
Breakfast is overall is good
Location overall is good as well
The light in the washroom and a more brighter the breakfast room is small you could make it more fancy. The corridor seems no one cleaning it you can still see the dirt .
We liked the efficient air conditioning and the availability of a hot tub in the room, the size of the bed and the location of the hotel (minutes from the Falls and Clifton Hills, as well as many good restaurants). Access was easy. Continental breakfast very good (hard-boiled eggs, fresh waffles, yogourt, pastries, toast, cereal, a nice coffee machine). The hotel was easy to spot because it was so tall and disintctive-looking. Staff was very nice and friendly, and answered all our questions and needs quickly and efficiently. They even showed us a restaurant's website on the large screen in the office after I'd asked for a dinner recommendation. Lovely recommendation too !
The bed was a little too firm for our taste and there were a few holes in the walls. Shower was small and took minutes to adjust water temperature (hot water took a long time to get to the shower). Didn't like that the tea during breakfast wasn't individually wrapped so I didn't take any and had too fall back on coffee, which I usually don't drink so early. The hot tub was a little too long for me, I kept losing my footing so couldn't relax as much as I'd wanted. The indoor pool was locked both times we tried to go swimming and we didn't find the outdoor pool before our last morning, which was too late. I didn't appreciate paying 20 $ a day for parking AT the hotel, when right next door were 5 or 10 $ a day parking facilities. We would have liked to watch the daily fireworks from our hotel room, but didn't have a view of the Falls. We might havebeen willing to pay a prmeium to have that view ! It would have been the cherry on top of our stay !
The place
Cleanless and old inside
Location
I can’t think of anything positive.
I wanted to give this hotel a fair chance, but I have to be honest for the sake of future guests.
The room had a persistent, unpleasant odour throughout our stay. Housekeeping appeared superficial at best — we found significant accumulations of dirt swept under the beds rather than properly cleaned. The bathroom floor had visible mould growth, which is a genuine health concern.
The air conditioner functioned well in terms of cooling, but it ran with a noticeable smell and caused constant sneezing — suggesting the filter or unit itself hasn’t been maintained in some time.
Most concerning was the breakfast area, where we spotted what appeared to be rodent droppings. What made this even more alarming was that the area displayed a passed inspection sign — which raises serious questions about the validity of that inspection, given the conditions we witnessed firsthand. This is not a minor cleanliness issue; it’s a health and safety matter that warrants attention from the relevant authorities.
At roughly $300/night, guests have every right to expect basic cleanliness and a safe environment. Unfortunately, this hotel fell well short of that standard. I’d strongly urge prospective guests to look elsewhere, and I’d encourage management to take immediate corrective action before someone is seriously harmed.
The location
The staff was amaxing. Friendly very helpful . Always making sure you had what you needed. We traveled in a group of 5 . Three of us arrived at different times .They accommodated us without hesitation. The 2 pools were very clean . The indoor pool was warm and very lovely. The breakfast was in basement and the area was very small . However that didnt matter as you need to understand that they are doing there very best to renovate and make it better. . People also have to understand that yest the price you pay to stay you think you get extravagant rooms . I say if you want that then go stay at the Sheraton . These hotel have bills to pay as well . And like any business try to make money too. We think the super 8 is doing a great job . And great location and great price . When we cone to niagara falls again .we definitely will be staying here . Great staff . Happy was exceptionally helpful and pleasant and he made our day with a smile .
Bed was hard as rock but they are in middle of changing them.
