Prompt pool shuttles. Easily accessible restaurants.
Horrible smell in room - way way way too much dusting/pine sol cleaners. Toilet broken. TV not 'smart' enough - only regular TV available, slow wifi & no Internet. Fire alarm kept going off for basic things - taking a shower & making coffee.
Room size, amenities and cleanliness
Nothing
Nothing. Please do not book this location.
We stayed 2 nights during Canada Thanksgiving weekend. Apparently it was ladybug season, got to know during check in. Our resort had thousands of ladybug inside (please see attached picture). Called front desk, at first said they are sending someone. After 1 hour and our kids getting traumatized, we told them to change the room. They said they were fully booked and tried to comfort us that ladybug doesn't harm or come towards the food, so it should be fine. After 3 hours the room service person came and said the same thing, there's nothing they can do and told us to suck out the ladybugs using the vacuum cleaner hose. If this something they face every year during this time of the year, they should warn people and advise book at your own risk. In fact, I'm surprised no where on the description on Booking.com this is mentioned. I cannot advise enough people to not book this and also expected better from Booking.com during booking for this location
The apartment is spacious and comfortable. It has everything we need.
Cons:
1. The pool is NOT included with your stay if you book through Expedia. The “resort fee” that you pay is only for the wifi and TV.
2. No complimentary breakfast for the price I’m paying.
The TV will automatically shut down if you don’t press a button on the remote every 15 minutes.
3. Wyndham is pushy on check-in for you to attend a 90 minute “open house” so you can sign up for a time share. I just want to be on vacation. The room service even came to my door and knocked to remind me to sign up for something I have no interest in.
The room has a lady bug infestation. To be fair, the hotel did warn us during check in, I don’t mind much but it may bother others.
4. The phones in the room weren’t working. When I tried to call the hotel on my cell phone I kept being disconnected. I dialed 0 to try to reach the front desk as instructed and it still didn’t work. I had a simple question. If there was ever an emergency, I’d have to rely on 911 solely. It’s a big property. I’d like it if hotel staff could be reached via phone.
Pros:
1. Kitchen in room with big fridge
2. Large rooms
3. Ample bed space
4. Close to Smugglers Notch
5. Rooms are a bit outdated, but comfy.
Great location but nothing like pool or exercise room ( who you have to pay extra for )is included even they charge you an add. 57$ Resort fee . Which supposedly covers the towels, plate , soaps coffee etc . Nice place , great location but could use some updating especially for the price .
Very nice view quiet.
The condo was great for our needs and very roomy for my wife and I. I have 2 complaints. I the coffee took over 30 minutes to brew a pot. Also, they give you enough coffee for 1 pot. They will sell you enough for another pot fo $8. 2 You should buy ice at the little store next to the check in. There are ice trays in the refrigerator but they don't have ice. There are also no convenient ice makers around.
Our condo was huge! The view was beautiful. Jetted tub was a plus. Close to Stowe gondola ride. Loved the property grounds. I just wished the restaurants were open during the week
Very nice except the woman waitress at the restaurant. She was unfriendly and rude.
Quiet easy access to everything.
The size of the property and location and the kitchen with full supply
It’s overrated and pricey . No amenities included in the rental.
Restaurants not open enough. Some closed when supposed to be open
One of our favorite trips. We come once a year. Amenities are awesome. The area is great. Quite a distance from other areas but that is literally the only downfall. The rooms are amazing. Pool is always clean.
Friends and family friendly facility that is equally good for small parties and bigger groups. Beautiful mountain views and a lot of things to do for everyone. The only con is that you have to pay a pricey fee for resort activities. Luckily there are plenty of things to discover outside the resort.
