The hotel is a bit overpriced- you don't really get your money's worth or value. I understand that this is a war-time and not everything can go to plan but some things suprised me. For example, we paid for a deluxe room and were given a standard room. When this was brought to thier attention, they did not feel inclined to help. The room we stayed in suffered multiple blackouts and kept losing electricity and power and we had to flip the switch on (in the electric box) repeatedly throughout our stay. The website also made it seem that the pool and lounge at the Shangri-la was open when it was in fact closed due to a lack of staff. The main pool area had too many flies to be able to sit comfortably and relax. Other than those issues, the room was clean but a bit run down, the bed was comfortable and there was a nice sized patio. Breakfast was great and the hotel area was easy to navigate by foot even though it was a bit of a steep incline (this hotel is built on and into the side of a mountain). I would hesitate to stay here again.

Hôtel vieux. Frigo cassé, chambres non faites, pas de serviettes disponibles.
Placard à portes cassées. Il a fallu réclamer le service de chambre à 22h pour qu’ils nous envoient un homme de ménage qui a fait la chambre en 4 mn au total.
Le tout avec une salle de bain crasseuse

Pros:

Not as images, outdated rooms, same as his brother Orchide hotel just under different name, doesn't look like high class luxurios rooms. No reason to pay extra to be in these rooms. Facilities are not so good - Traqlin, pool...
Better getting down to the Orchide's pool which is great.
As rooms are far, every movement requires a Shuttle.
The closet was broken, the shower had poor current of water in the shower, we were missing thing for 3 persons(was prepared only for 2) - all fixed after calling recrption but disappointing dealing with it when just entering the room.

Breakfast is great. Stuff are nice. We got couple of hours for late check in.

Better to pay less, expect less and stay at Orchide.

Everything was great but the service. Terrible, terrible service for such a nice hotel.

They were cleaning the pool at 11am with loud machines. Everyone at the pool was trying to relax and enjoy the scenery, but all we could hear was a loud motor power washer. Another guest went to the lobby to tell them turn it off. Power wash the pool at night, not when everyone is using it!!!

I was sitting in a chair and an employee tried to open an umbrella above me. I kindly asked him not to open it, as I was sitting in the sun. He gave me SO much attitude and ignored me and tried to open it anyway until I stood up and said no again. I was so frustrated with the terrible service.

Schnitzel (chicken tenders) at the pool were inedible. So gross. Breakfast was only offered at the attached hotel.

Constantly had to walk up and down the large hill because the golf cart transportation was never available.

Beautiful location, terribly run hotel.

Сама гостиница хорошая, но состояния номеров оставляют желать лучшего ... хотя попросила починить кондиционер быстро пришёл техник и с улыбкой все сделал , завтрак супер и траклин также все замечательно, и сами работники гостиницы очень отзывчивые , дизайнер поработал очень хорошо каждый уголок со вкусом , вот номера да отредактировать не помешало бы

What you see is definitely not what you get.
We arrived at Shangrila hotel with high expectations regarding the hotel's facilities and overall seeing, but we found out that nothing is new and it's just a part of the OLD Orchidea hotel.

Our room was ok. The bathroom was updated but the rest of the room needs to be updated. The food is ok. I would have expected much better from the shangri la. Parking was the worst I’ve ever seen at a so called nice hotel. Checkout was not good. Certain staff members were very pleasant. Personally I would not stay there again.
