Not far from restaurants. Quiet night time ambience.
The cracked vanity sink in the bathroom needs replacing
Central location, spacious clean rooms. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Only x1 lift in use which meant a super long wait to go up or down . The alternative stairs felt like a service corridor and were dirty and unkept.
Bar is expensive compared to other local outlets.
No vegetables at all, cooked tomatoes.. For christ sake, it´s 2026.
The only vegetables on breakfast was cooked tomatoes.. For christ sake, it´s 2026. The elevator was extremely slow, did not work all of the time. Smelled from smoke since staff did smoke in the garage beneath. Food was sub-par. Dirty curtains in room. Restaurant furnture not cleaned for a long while.
Super staff. Lovely breakfast.
One lift. Refit of something going on.
The room was clean, staff were helpful.
It was very difficult to find, as hotel signage is small and a coach parked in front of the hotel made it difficult to see. I had been warned that the lift wasn't working, the state of the stairs was pretty appalling, not just scruffy. The room looked recently redecorated, but the carpet was worn and stained. I also found it difficult to find my room, easy if you could use the lift. But using the stairs I could only see signage from room no.111 up and my room was 101.
Great location. Friendly helpful staff. Very clean room. Comfortable bed. Lovely breakfast.
Nothing not to like.
The rooms were clean. The location was good.
Very bare bones hotel. No room service or many amenities. Could get better hotels for the price.
Near the train station.
Poor restaurant food and one broken lift.
Excellent location for using Swindon as a base to visit London, Oxford and Avebury by train/ bus as well as to look around the old railway works of the GWR and Steam museum. The breakfasts were very good quality and extensive. The air conditioning in the room was much appreciated as it was the middle of an extreme heatwave.
It is quite a distance to most of the restaurants in Swindon Old Town. Becasue of the heat, we couldn't really get to them.
