Had to leave both rooms 215 and 312 we’re not cleaned when sent to the room
Pros:

Staff was nice

Cons:

So I was originally sent to room 215. The room had a musty smell when going to the AC unit there was a giant wet spot in front of the unit. We chopped it up to maybe it was rain coming in from the storm so they switched rooms room 312 as I entered, was in the pictures the bed was not made. There was trash in the room. There was towels on the floor in the bathroom. The room was not cleaned, and there was another wet spot in front of the AC unit. had to leave went down the road to get a different room with a different company.

A 2 night stay should have been an easy in and out process.
Pros:

Breakfast was good. This location was close to our family function.

Cons:

Check in should have been been much easier, had to change both rooms do to uncleanness. Computers were slow per the check-in attendant, which caused a delay entering our rooms, which had to be changed again.

At Check out I was informed of an error made during check-in which needed to be refunded at check-out.

Pros:

Review for one night stay while traveling, of two rooms on the first floor.

We were making a 1,200 mile trip in two days and required a hotel for one night, just to get a good night’s sleep and shower in the morning. We booked less than one week in advance, which perhaps contributed to the room conditions we experienced (that is, if the less desirable rooms are set aside for late reservations?).

Location: Off the highway, in a ‘plaza’ of three hotels, nearby a gas station that truck drivers stay in for stretches. The highlight of the location is that there’s no getting lost finding it off the exit, and the gas station has a Starbucks connected to it that opens at 7AM.

Building and grounds: Outside, there’s garbage everywhere in the parking lot, which might be a factor of being so close to the highway, but there was still measurable, considering. Inside, it seems somewhat recently updated as far as design and decor, which gives the appearance of the building being tended to. On the first floor, one guest room had wires coming out of the ceiling that were taped down to the wall and run under the door— no idea what that is about. There is a sparse gym on the first floor just past the lobby, and vending machines near the front desk that appeared to be stocked fairly. The lobby is adjacent to a seating area with a TV, and is next to the breakfast room. The hotel does provide a hot breakfast, as well as a few carts for moving luggage— though the one large cart they have is difficult to push and needs oil for the wheels.

Check-in: The woman working the evening front desk was quick, friendly, and attentive to concerns that required a room switch, which was great after a long day of driving.

Room 1: Whether it was coming through vents of another room or from a previous guest of Room 1, there was lingering marijuana essence so thick in the air that it was impossible to even step one toe into the room to look around. We immediately closed the door and requested a different room, and were promptly accommodated.

Room 2: The evening front desk staff worked fast to re-situate us into Room 2, mentioning that she wanted to keep us on the same floor to avoid us going farther, which we appreciated. However, the second room was disappointing for other reasons— namely, a very obvious lack of cleanliness. While it did not smell at all, it was clear someone made the beds and stocked a couple fresh towels to make everything appear ‘clean-ISH’. But even a simple once-over looking around told a different story: Hair throughout the bathroom, hairs strewn across the bed pillows on Bed One, cloudy barefoot prints on the linoleum flooring, mystery smears on the desk area, food smears on the TV cabinet, what appeared to be an oregano-looking substance on the bedside table, dust and lint all over the hard surfaces, dusty lampshades that were also cracked in spots— and a surprising amount of sand and hairs IN the bedsheets of Bed Two, which made it clear that the sheets had not been changed since…???… maybe the previous guests? On top of this, when we went to open the hand soap, it was obvious that the soap had been used— there was even a small hair on it, which made us question every single thing we touched coming into the room; “Thank goodness” for watching those investigative shows with black lights, and knowing to travel with anti-bacterial wipes and our own soap and bottled water. As we approached the desk to seek yet another room switch, we observed three pairs of people seeking to check in for the night— two pair did not appear to have reservations— and decided instead to just sleep in our clothing and shoes in the one bed that was void of sand and hair, not wanting to take a chance of trading the ‘devil we knew’ of Room 2 for a potential worse room situation. We considered sleeping in the car, but after being cooped up in it for 10 hours decided on the opportunity to stretch our legs and lay flat.

Breakfast: We were grossed out by the room conditions, so we skipped the free hot breakfast. There were a handful of guests eating it, however, when we packed up at the crack of day to leave, and seemed fine with it.

Checking out was equally easy with the morning staff member— around 6:30AM after a long night with no sleep; That said, the morning front desk staff’s vibe, while cordial, was very much that she wanted to return to the TV in the seating area near the lobby where she came from when I approached the desk to check out— so we decided to save our comments about the stay for an email to the hotel chain, instead.

Overall: We paid around $140 a night for the stay, which is a REACH, based on our experience. I’m not sure there’s an amount someone could pay US to stay here again. While we do understand that the hotel location alone probably makes it susceptible to heavy use— especially being right off the highway and considering the truck stop, which seemed to attract other kinds of late reservations— it feels like we were ‘highway robbed’, paying for this. Sadly, this was the worst stay we have ever had at a Hilton-affiliated chain, which caused stress after a long day of driving and just wanting a clean bed and decent sleep before hitting the next leg of our trip.
