Posada Mariposa Boutique Hotel

A quiet, leafy, hidden gem. I don’t always review (share) my special discoveries, but I must for this one. Many properties on the main drag are great until the thumping discos and live music nearby rob light sleepers of rest. In this peaceful place I’ve never had a restless night, a dirty room, met grumpy staff. Since my discovery 3 years ago, I’ve never even considered staying anywhere else.

A hidden and reasonably priced gem. You have to be paying attention to see its entrance. Staff always friendly. Desk manager Maria is always professional and welcoming. The Lobby is cool, peaceful and leafy. Nights are very quiet despite being roughly midway on the walking street. I’ve made some mistakes booking nice properties too close to the hubbub and all-night disco thumping further up the Main Drag

For what I paid I absolutely expected much less. The staff was serviced based and very helpful. My room was kept extremely clean. I wasn't expecting the Ritz Carlton at the rate I paid with whom I work with I was just expecting a good place to stay that was clean and convenient. I was impressed by the cleanliness of the property for being an older hotel and the service was excellent. I will be staying there again soon. My office is just down the street and when I come back for a visit I now have a very inexpensive place to stay.

Second time I stay here for a night before heading over to my all inclusive resort.I stay here because it's on 5th avenue and it let's me take in all the ambiance of 5th avenue.Service is good and the place is clean.I will be staying here again soon.

This is a good hotel on 5th avenue. If you want to see everything on 5th ave, be prepared to walk! It was not that noisy at night to where I couldn't sleep. We stayed here to do nearby excursions so we basically only slept. The hotel is small but good enough for what we needed it for. The receptionist was VERY helpful, I wish I got her name but she was probably around 40-50 years old, slim with glasses. She helped us with pricing of tours & directions on how to avoid the super expensive taxis they offer nearby. The breakfast was basic but they offer a discount if you get other items. Please note the breakfast is not onsite, its a couple steps from the hotel - not a long walk! Overall it was good for the price we paid for 3 rooms.
