Location, friendly staff
Bathrooms could use an upgrade
Sadly, this hotel is in need of repair and updating. So many other luxury hotel options in the area. This hotel is usually my go to, but I'm trying the Halcyon this trip in December.
Stayed here as it was close to National Jewish Health and it turned out to be a perfect spot. Less than 10 drive to NJH and right across the street from the Cherry Creek Mall. Very nice restaurant in the hotel.
We stayed three nights as it was the “wedding party” hotel. The rooms were nice and clean. Just down the hall is an our water station with both still and sparkling which was just awesome! We had an event at the hotel an everything was lovely. We would stay here again!
Staff was very helpful. Hotel is close to shopping and food. Clean and easy to get around.
Very good experience with a couple of issues. Booked through American Express Platinum which supposedly provides for a free room upgrade, if available. I had contacted the hotel ahead of time to let them know that it was my husband’s 70th birthday and I would greatly appreciate if they could upgrade the room. Upon arrival, I asked them about the upgrade and the associate said that yes, they had upgraded us to a Mountain View room. However, I paid for a Mountain View room, so that’s clearly not an upgrade.
The room was clean in general, with nice bedding. The location in Cherry Creek is excellent.
And a special shout out to the valet service, which was phenomenal. Eddie and Jeila were particularly helpful. Much appreciated!
The softest robe I’ve ever had in my life! The checking was smooth and easy; the beds were also very comfortable.
This place is awful. The carpeting in the rooms and hallways is dirty, there were black hairs and stains all over my bathroom when I first checked into my room, it's old, tired and in desperate need of a renovation. Furthermore, I booked a King and they gave me two queens instead and said they were fully booked so couldn't fix it. Then I come to find it's a connecting room (which I also did not book) and shocker, I'm connected to a complete strangers room. I could hear every word of this stranger's business call at 9pm at night and then I was woken up the following morning by another call he was on at 6:30am. It gets worse... I could hear him in bed with a woman the next night. I've stayed at this hotel several times for business over the years and I don't remember it being this bad. It's really gone down hill. The lack of cleanliness is the main issue and it's really gotten out of control - stay away from this place. PS - Every time I have stayed here I get inexplicably charged the parking fee despite never having a car with me. It's happened to me three times, which at that amount is no accident - they must be hoping guests won't notice.
Stayed here for our anniversary. Was treated by incredible staff and surprises each time we returned to our room. The restaurant Toro had a great food and drinks. Hopefully JJ is working, he was a pleasure and had a ton of good knowledge/recommendations in the area.
Very walkable area
Very nice except for the construction opposite the lobby
This property should never have been elevated to a Luxury Collection. It’s a standard JW Marriott business centric hotel. Furnishings are tired, staff /service are at the level of a standard Marriott hotel, and the bathroom had a bunch of other people’s hair on the floor (some curly, some straight, some blonde, some brown, some long, some short). This would be fine for a ~$300/night room, but not $500++.
Lysianna, at the front desk, is amazing! She instantly transformed what could've been a routine hotel stay into my new home away from home in Denver. And, as luck would have it, that's exactly what I was looking for. I have a student starting at the University of Denver this fall, and I look forward to being a regular hotel guest many times over the next four years. Thank you!
I can’t say enough about the exceptional team overall from the Clio Hotel! The front desk team, especially Jean and Mari, are incredibly helpful and friendly and go above and beyond to ensure you have a wonderful visit.
I would have to say that most of the team including the leaders must have gone through some style of Ritz Carlton service excellence. Very rarely do you see a staff that is empowered to make decisions based on what is best for the guest to create a wonderful experience, and that all starts with leadership.
Definitely check out the on-site restaurant (Toro) for breakfast, dinner, or after dinner drinks and desert. Erika is an exceptional addition to the team at the bar and the assistant GM of the restaurant (Jonathan), who is about as good as it gets in the hospitality industry.
Whether you’re planning a romantic weekend getaway, girl’s weekend, or running a small conference or company meeting, I highly recommend this property!
Hotel vibe and location:
Very chic and modern and with extremely comfortable and spacious rooms plus a GREAT fitness center. You’re within an easy walk of all the cool shops, bars, restaurants and high end entertainment in downtown Cherry Creek.
I never write reviews but I felt I had to with this one. We checked in Monday night. It was late. I had requested an upgrade to a suite and I was told to try Wednesday morning because they were booked. I said no problem. We had booked a room with a courtyard view. As I said it was night time when we arrived. When I woke up the next day I opened the curtains and saw a black roof top, metal bars and office building that could see directly into my room. I called down and said I paid for a courtyard view and they said that is it . I asked for another view as we are paying over $1k for three nights and that wasn’t to look at a roof. They did nothing. Ok. So come Wednesday. Breakfast says served until 11:00. I literally had to find my glasses and I called down at 11:01 exactly. I said I am so sorry I know it is 1 minute past the time but can I please order breakfast and they said no. Then as we were originally told, my husband went down Wednesday to request the upgrade and we were told they were 98% full so they could do nothing. We paid a lot of money for this 3 night stay and really think descriptions and help could have been much better
Cannot emphasize enough how great the front desk is. Lysi truly understood and heard all of our questions and concerns about our stay and gave us clear, actionable information. Was a huge help in our planning! Hotel itself is very nice and in a walkable area with a lot of great dining and shopping options.
One of the best Hogek experiences in recent memory.
