Hektor Container Hotel

The place has a certain vibe that I cannot put into words – you just need to feel it, trust me, it's good.

The rooms are clean, but you get as much space as a container can fit – that's the main culprit here.

When you enter, there's no reception (but it may be because I was in the late hours). But when you figure out where your room is – it's magical. Silent as a library, but the containers are stacked like in a museum.

Very compact, but if you're as ascetic as I am, then you feel how smart the stuff is organized. Just marvelous!

I would definitely visit again, if just for the vibe.

I you want to experience some different with nice location in Telliskivi, this is it!

It’s an interesting concept, really well located and comfortable, but the shower water only stays hot for 5 minutes, I have really thick long hair that takes longer to wash, so it was very miserable to get cold.

It’s just over the road from the rimi and near excellent restaurants.

Great location in Telliskivi and good connections to other places in Tallinn. Multiple restaurants near. Friendly and helpful staff, you can wash your clothes for free even! Compact room with everything you need so great value for the money.

Hands down the most well designed hotel I've ever stayed at! Hektor containers have nicely balanced out design, sustainability, and practicality to create a homely stay for their guests.

Not only is it environmentally conscious, but it also nails the basics. The cleanliness of the place was impeccable, making my stay comfortable and worry-free. The location added a cherry on top, allowing easy access to nearby attractions and activities.

Lovely attentive staff. Breakfast was simple but lovely. Stunningly renovated building with really comfortable accomodation which was great value. Loved the location away from the Old Town in a really cool part of town.

The hotel is located in a cool part of Tallinn - a creative and urban area with tons of restaurants, shops and galleries! It is also opposite a big supermarket.

The building is stunning, the rooms are spacious and clean. There are recycling bins inside the building so you can also recycle while staying there.

There is a lovely harmony room (perfect for fitness and yoga) and the reception/bar downstairs is welcoming and they serve delicious coffee.

I highly recommend you to stay. The staff is also really kind and helpful.

Rooms are sea containers and a bit small, beds are super comfy though. No natural light and have to keep your blind drawn when you are in the container. It’s good for short term but wouldn’t recommend for long term stay.

Excellent location. Everything went smoothly. The person in the lobby was nice and helpful. Nice, clean room and shower. Breakfast was filled with local options. Gluten free bread wasn’t good but everything else was good. Happily will be back :)

Such a warm welcome by sharing a recognition of being from the same place as comedian James Acaster. (Still shocked because no one else has ever heard of where I'm from across the world 😂)

With availability, early check in was thankfully allowed, giving me extra time to be settled and explore the city. The location is great, right next to the station, Tram 2/6 and Balti Jaama Turg. Also a great starting point for my run along the sea front on the following morning.

The containers themselves are housed in a larger secure warehouse/depot which offers comfortable common areas. The containers are comfortable, air conditioned and not stuffy. I liken it to a stay in CitizenM. If you love that brand, you'll love it here too.

Eine der außergewöhnlichsten und coolsten Unterkünfte, in denen wir je übernachtet haben! Das Containerhotel ist mit sehr viel Liebe „gebaut“ und eingerichtet. Es gibt neben den Schlafcontainern, also den Zimmern, auch eine Küche, einen Sportraum, verschiedene Aufenthaltsbereiche und ein Mini Café im Empfangsbereich. Die Lage ist perfekt, wenn man die Creative City mit Graffiti und co erkunden möchte. Auch der Weg in die Altstadt ist nicht weit. Würden wir sofort wieder buchen!

Telliskivessä huippupaikalla kivan erilainen hotellilöytö. Kontti toimi vallan mainiosti hotellihuoneena ja kokonaisuus oli loistava. Viihtyisät tyylikkäät aulatilat, aamiainen saatavilla, iso upea keittiö, jos halusi käyttää ja itselle isona plussana treenitila. Meteliä tai ääniä ei kuulunut oikeastaan ollenkaan. Olimme tällä kertaa autolla ja oli helposti saavutettavissa + parkkitilaa oli hyvin. Jos ei ilmaiset paikat olleet vapaana, maksoi vuorokausi parkkiapplikaatiolla 5€/ vuorokausi. Tästä tuli yksi uusi suosikki.

A fun and very useful hotel very close to the old town.
Great little rooms fitted out with a comfy bed, a neat little desk, a spotless shower and toilet, and (limited) space to put your stuff in drawers under the bed and on the walls (hangers and shelves).
Healthy and tasty cold breakfasts are available on request for €15.
Only negative was the ventilation. The air in the room gets a little stale as they are quite tiny and pretty much airtight.

It was very convenient location to the Old Town, as well as a happening area nearby.

The rooms are quite small but efficiently designed into their own containers- but the common spaces available are plentiful and very comfortable, so you don't have to work in your bedroom! Reception is not constantly staffed, so you may have to ring the number provided for assistance, but the Hektor team answer quickly & are very polite and helpful. I appreciated the waste diversion containers frequently located around the corridors to separate green waste/compost from recycling and rubbish. The under-bed drawers are HUGE and easily fit my checked/hold luggage and my carry-on, to preserve the floor space in the bedroom. Plus, the heavy-weight roller blind is great for protecting the morning snooze from early sunrises in the Baltic north. The shower door doesn't keep the water off the floor very well, but we hung the towel on the radiator cover under the desk and it dried in no time. The Telliskivi location is really great for (close/delicious/interestin) food and drink options, and plenty of street art. Overall a very comfortable and pleasant stay, which is why I have returned!

Sleepin in a sea container is an experience itself. The room is small but enough for two. Good space for luggage and gear below the bed. The room was quiet, temperature was easy to adjust and the quality of air was very pleasant. The bed was excellent. Only there was only one wide blanket for two, so it suits better for couples. I did not ask if another blanket would have been avalable. The staff was really friendly and we were able to check-in three hours ahead. Very tasty breakfast in a cosy lounge. Not suitable for people with difficulties in moving and not with a very big and heavy luggage as there are stairs and no elevator. We didin.t use the kitchen or washing machines

This was a great and refreshing idea, place and all package! Booking up etc. happened nicely online, when we arrived the service was excellent, all the systems worked perfectly and the container room was very comfortable and we had a joyful time. The breakfast was very tasty and cheap too, served with a tray on the lobby tables. Service was top notch too. Our highest recommendations! Connections to everywhere in Telliskivi are very close, easy to reach.

PERFECT for whatever you need to do in Tallinn. Cool and modern, good value for so little money, big beds, re-cycling system, perfect breakfast, everything next to Hektor by walking distance. LOVED. *****

Super kind and warm staff and service. Room was clean, quiet, modern and location was more than perfect for us! Balti Jaama Turg is located right next to hotel, from where you can easily find local treats and food. Will definitely visit here again. ☺️
