Pros:

Spacious room. Location was decent. Glad I brought my own towel.

Cons:

Bathroom door didn't fully close. Flat pillows. Friend's room AC did not work. Probably not the best atmosphere for children.

The staff called me at 7:30 pm the day of my reservation (while I was halfway between Santa Barbara and Santa Cruz, on my way driving) to tell me they didn't have my room. They said there was some maintenance problem. They offered no solution. After I insisted that it was absurd to call me without any alternatives, they offered to send me to a hotel at a different random town, they claimed all of Santa Cruz was filled (fake, Booking had several places available) and told me to call Booking. I didn't accept that, and they then in some way fixed the maintenance issue. So, I did end up getting a room. The hotel is horrible, not clean. What they tried to do with my reservation was completely absurd.

Right price, clean room, great staff 100% recommend
Pros:

I had a wonderful stay here! The proprietor was incredibly kind and welcoming — it made all the difference and gave the place such a personal touch. The room itself was spotless, comfortable, and had everything I needed. While the décor is a little dated, it actually added to the charm and was more than made up for by how clean and well-kept everything was. I slept really well and felt right at home. I’d absolutely stay here again and recommend it to anyone looking for a cozy, friendly place to stay.
