Excellent hotel

Estuve con mi familia por 5 días. Es muy seguro y limpio el lugar. Son muy amables el personal que ahí trabaja. Me volvería a quedar nuevamente.

Very nice cabins. The ones closest to the road can be a little noisy but not unbearable. Great restaurant on the property. We also visited a nearby Caribbean restaurant called Lidia’s for delicious food. The beach is walking distance behind the property but you have to search for a safe spot to swim due to big surf

Beautiful room, gorgous garden, private swimming pool, only 4 bungalows here. Beautiful place to rest and enjoy the carribbean vibe. For breakfast you have three choice. For dinner, real authentic italian pizza. Perfect vacation here.

Die Bungalows sind sehr schön mit Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet und fügen sich wunderbar in die Dschungel-Umgebung ein.
Wenn man im Pool chillt hat man das Gefühl mitten im Paradies zu leben.
Wir waren schlichtweg begeistert!

We really enjoyed our stay at the jungle lodge. The staff was more than welcoming and incredibly helpful our entire stay. The gardens are beautiful and the pool was a huge plus. Breakfast was great. There’s a walking path to the beach which was very convenient. Overall great experience

Cute little cabins. Amazing that they deliver breakfast to your porch every morning! A little deceiving in that we thought it would be a bit more “in the jungle”, but that could just have been the impression I took from the name. We could hear the highway clearly from our cabin. Cabin itself was adorable. Very comfortable for 2, almost too big. Loved the geckos, hearing the howler monkeys at night, watching the agoutis walk around the grounds, the hummingbirds flit from tree to tree… but the grounds themselves leave something to be desired. They could use a little TLC. The pool, unremarkable but nice to have. The walk to the beach, despite being physically close, is a bit of a walk because you’ve got to head up to the road and down another path to get there. Not far (maybe 15-20 min walk), but I expected it to be closer (again, maybe my bad). Wifi in the cabins was excellent. Very close to a little supermarket (5 min walk) and a charming little roadside restaurant called Pura Gula (outstanding!! Recommend a reso). Also bike rentals right behind the supermarket for $10/day. Our stomachs were a little bothered by the water (we were drinking from the jug of water they provide in the room). Switched to bottled water from the supermarket and the issue slowly resolved. Just a heads up. Overall, nice stay and we enjoyed our porch/hammock morning and night.

Well, I was unaware that only 1 cabin had A/C at the time of booking that needs to be clearer. When I arrived the ceiling fan in my cabin was extremely slow and didnt move any air. I asked the owner for an additional fan that night due to the extra one provided was kinda weak and didnt reach my son. I was told there was nothing he could do about it tonight and oh well. I had to go buy my own fans to be somewhat comfortable that night. The next morning I had another fan provided.The breakfast and food is really great! And we saw lots of wildlife! The cabins were unique and the shower is great. All in all I think I paid a little too much for this place compared to other options in the price range

I had a nice and relaxing stay at El Nido. If you want to be close to Puerto Viejo and the nightlife (shopping, restaurants, bars) but you also want a peacefull stay this is the place to go. It was about a 10min drive from Puerto Viejo and easy to go to by taxi or tuk tuk. At day time it is also a very nice ride on bicycle that makes it easy to go to all of the nearby beaches.
The owners are helpfull with a arranging tours.

So beautiful, amazing garden grounds, and the cabina, wow! So roomy, awesome little kitchen, pretty shower (tile mosaic), ceiling fan kept me cool despite no AC. Great Ed location. Breakfast brought to my table on my porch each morning. The cabina was so well made! Restaurant is yummy. So close to the most beautiful, mellow beach. I’d definitely stay again!!

Great family based hotel. Have to admit it was very clean and beautiful interior, friendly staff and great owner. He let us stay even few hours before they check in because we arrived way earlier. Morning breakfast was delicious and we had direct contact with the owner to accommodate the time (from 8am-10am) also been provided a menu for breakfast - 3 different types: Healthy; Tico and Kids. Which is very cool and we could change it how do we like. Around the house was also very clean and beautiful with birds songs and other animal’s sounds so it was amazing like in the middle of the jungle. We enjoyed every moment being in this beautiful hotel, I’d definitely visit again and give them firm 4 stars hotel-Amazing, strongly recommending!

Excelentes cabañas en el medio del bosque de Puerto Viejo. Total contacto con la naturaleza. Muy cómodas y completas. Ideal para familias

Excellent location, very safe and friendly staff

This property exceeded our expectations! It’s beautiful and simple. It’s comfortable and staff is so friendly. We had our rooms cleaned daily! We had monkeys, toucans, Macaws among Agoutis and other creatures right on our patio. Swimming pool is clean and the landscape around it was beautiful. The hostesses are super nice people! I would stay here again.
The only downside was the distance to the beach. None of the properties in this area have direct access to the beach therefore you have to take a little trail for 10 mins walk. Due to the raining season being awful in 2021, the path to the beach was an adventure itself. The beach is beautiful and clean but the rip current and waves made it unsafe for children. Apparently it was also due to the torrential storms otherwise the Playa Chiquita has tranquil waters.
