The hotel didn’t feel too big and the room was nice.
Facilities were average and a bit tired. Restaurants and spa were constantly booked up so we didn’t get to use them.
Room servicing/cleaning staff were good and friendly, but kept coming into the room repeatedly through the day, making it hard to relax in the room with people constantly coming in and out. Would be better for staff to only come in once.
We arrived in the evening on an all-inclusive package and had no problems at all with check-in. We decided to skip the welcome drinks so we could drop our bags off and get some dinner before the restaurant closed.
The food in the main buffet restaurant was very good throughout our stay. There was always plenty of choice, including two grilled meat options, two grilled fish options, a couple of pasta dishes, and several pizza options. There were also soups, salads, tapas-style cold dishes, and a wide variety of desserts, including a special dessert each evening. Everything we tried was delicious. In fact, we enjoyed the buffet so much during the first few days that we didn’t even bother booking one of the à la carte restaurants, even though one meal per stay was included with the all-inclusive package. The included wines were lovely too, and there was a good overall selection of drinks.
The cocktails were also very nice, although the quality did seem to depend on who was making them. Some of the bar staff were much friendlier than others, and a few gave the impression that serving you was an inconvenience. By contrast, the restaurant staff were consistently friendly and efficient. That said, the service overall was not especially warm or personal, and there was very little interaction beyond the basics.
The room was comfortable, spacious, and spotlessly clean. Everything worked as it should, so we had no complaints there.
One benefit of the all-inclusive package was free access to the spa, which was a nice extra. We also considered paying for the Privilege upgrade, but at an additional £600 on top of what we had already paid, we really didn’t feel it offered enough value, and in hindsight I’m glad we didn’t choose it.
The biggest disappointment for us was the entertainment. Both the evening entertainment and the daytime activities were very poor, especially for a hotel of this standard. We had expected much better. During our stay there was also a storm, and unfortunately no effort seemed to be made to provide any extra indoor entertainment or even put something on the TV in the bar area. This felt like a missed opportunity and was disappointing, as even a small amount of effort could have made a big difference for guests.
Overall, there were definitely some positives, particularly the food, the cleanliness, and the room itself. However, the lacklustre entertainment and inconsistent bar service mean this is probably not somewhere we would return.
Always reliable service food & facilities, big enough but not too big, was given a lovely room near the pool. The area is a bit boring - we had a car which helps if you are over 3 days
As prev. A bit boring area but not if you just want to enjoy the luxury of the hotel
Bisogna migliorare la pulizia della camera
Another great holiday at this excellent hotel. This was our 4th or 5th visit to the H10 and it never fails to deliver. The rooms, staff, food and facilities are all top notch and difficult to fault.
The position of the hotel is also one of its strong points, the walkway that goes from the end of the small beach into Maspalomas is a great way to walk off the breakfast or evening meal !
I've no doubt that we shall return, again, in the next couple of years.
We had an amazing week here and would 100% come back again. It was a 60th birthday treat for my husband and so we stayed on the Privilege level package and I think that made the difference. The choice of the additional restaurants which were easy to book into, as well as the main buffet, meant the food didn't get boring at all and the food in the Gaudi restaurant was really fabulous.
Rooms were lovely, all the pool areas (not just the Privilege pool areas) were quiet with abundant loungers which I realise might not be the case at peak times.
We did a few activities .....it's the first time I've done hotel yoga taught by an actual yoga teacher, not just the hotel animation team!
We found all the staff very helpful and we'd love to stay again.
The hotel is a 10 minute walk along a lovely coastal path into Melonaras centre which we thought was lovely, a bit more up market than some of the older resorts and you're just 20 minutes to the famous sand dunes of Maspalomas.
This was my 3rd visit to the H10 Meloneras Horizons Collection Hotel in Gran Canaria. It is in a superb location, being at the end of the promenade with the golf course over on the hillside and the sea in front. The gardens and pools are immaculate.
The main restaurant is very impressive, the food exceptional. The rooms are spacious with lovely views, and there always seems to be a calmness around the hotel. No loud music. The staff in reception are extremely helpful and very welcoming.
Returned to this great hotel. Our room was on level 2 near the infinity pool and near the Tamadaba dining room.
Improvements since 2025 : walk-in shower in the en-suite room and (in the Tamadaba) a better queuing system at dinner for choosing main courses and often crêpes cooked to order for dessert. Thank you to staff including Violetta (housekeeping) and David (waiter).
10 days enjoyed at this hotel. Been here several times and would return.
However, 3 improvements I would suggest:
1 The Nespresso machine in room was great but why did I have to ask several times for more capsules? Either the maid or other staff should check regularly when checking the minibar. Minor criticism but easy to fix.
2 There were no hot plates in the dining room for hot food; other hotels provide these, why not H10? It is pointless putting warm food onto cold plates.
3 Our one meal in the Brasserie was VERY NOISY. The diners had to speak loudly to be heard over the pianist; then the pianist had to play more loudly to be heard over the diners! There needs to be some carpet, curtains or some other sound insulation inside the Brasserie.
First time in Gran Canaria but used H10 Hotels many time on other Island’s booked Privilege All Inclusive 2 Rooms - check in was abrupt ! we don’t want special treatment but it’s a 5 Star Hotel
no attention to details, no welcome drink, map slammed down circled items off you go - Porter was only courteous person.
Room was lovely and cleaning team did a fantastic job.
Restaurant reservations make sure you book your allocations as soon as arrive otherwise you won’t get in - as we had two room (3 guests) you have to book separately & ask to eat together. Buffet had great breakfast & lunch selection, felt evening was lacking if I’m honest. As we could mix where we ate that’s what we tried to do.
Gaudi had the best food in my opinion but be prepared location right above Entertainment room.
Privilege upgrade was lacking; not sure got value for money. You can only have better wine in the Restaurant; asked at the bar, blunt response ‘no choice ‘ - just feel attention to detail not there again. We’ve travelled enough don’t want special treatment but you’re paying for quality therefore should be available. Lounge was a soul less box located right next to main area therefore couldn’t sit and enjoy relaxing as had kids disco booming. Always thought Privilege was 16 over, not here children in/out lounge area & full access to plunge pool sun terrace - other Hotels was adults only ? Help yourself area which was fine & terrace mainly peaceful but again other Privilege been to have a part staffed bar area bringing treats & drinks through the day - main area by pool had a bar with cava on ice & water (left all day) multiple times other guest stepped over rope poured drinks & went back - amusing to us but could be annoying if you’ve paid for everything & they aren’t all inclusive etc
Overall - weather was perfect just what we needed relax and recharge, Hotel - actual building was stunning but felt paid premium sadly not quite hitting the mark.
Excellent hotel, one of the best I have been to. The room was spacious and well appointed, the bed was comfortable, and the mini fridge was kept full of soft drinks and water (| didn't drink the beer). Good selection of food at the buffet restaurant, with some theming on different nights. Do try the specialist Japanese restaurant, performative cooking at its best. I didn't get any spa treatments, but the spa pool was good with several jacuzzi areas around it. All the staff were lovely, and a special call out to the lifeguard (I don't know his name) who dashed over to make sure I was OK when I tripped up a step and went sprawling.
superb hotel with good food and very friendly and helpful staff. Rooms are to a high standard. Plenty of personal space to enjoy both inside the hotel and outside by the pools and gardens. Good walks into Maspalomas and along the beach. Thoroughly recommended.
Unusually drawn out checkin process - considerate welcome drink but the wait was over 30 minutes. The tiny and unhelpful paper map of the resort we were given could not be deciphered and had us wandering around for sometime finding our room.
We chose half board - best deal on offer for the week - but there was no information on what was or was not included, such as still water at dinner - €3. We’re not mean minded but frankly don’t appreciate feeling ambushed and gouged on the extras - G&T’s €12 for example. Other moans include: rather soulless bars, drain smell from the bathroom and you’d think they could stretch to a soft-close loo seat in a superior room!
However, the weather was glorious and that was the main reason for our visit. We found the hotel to be very clean and well cared for throughout; staff were friendly and helpful. The pools are excellent, warm and clean, meals were varied and delicious - although sometimes lukewarm - we found a relaxing routine and enjoyed our week in the winter sun. All things considered, we’d come again for a bargain price, all the wiser from our first experience.
Another excellent stay in a great hotel. After many years of staying it is always rewarding to know that the hotel only continues to improve.
Ideal location away from the hustle yet close enough with a short walk.
Very clean and well maintained both internally and externally
The upgraded rooms have everything that make the stay enjoyable.
With 4 restaurants a wide variety of cuisine available. It is always good to see familiar staff faces and the warm welcome at all levels
Also good is the feeling of openness in the outdoor areas with plenty of room and the feeling of never being crowded.
The receptionist called GuacI went above and beyond her duties. Ssuch an asset to this hotel. We enjoyed our stay, lots more improvements since our visit last year. Did feel that having to go right to the end of the restaurent and back with boiling hot teapots was dangerous, also no hand rails on some stairs. Health and safety issue. Also had to ask several times as housekeeping had not stocked up on coffee, tea etc. However overall a fantastic hotel and would thorouoghly recommend.
