The hotel is lovely and clean. Its just a shame the food in the restaurant was awful and I lived on salad for a week
We have been to the Canaries many times, and this hotel is up there with the best. Arrived at 1 p.m., we didn't have to wait until 3 p.m.; our room was ready. Quick check-in. The room was very clean, and the cleaner was at our room at 10 a.m. all 8 days—10 out of 10. The pool areas are well-kept, with loads of sunbeds and clean pool towels every day. The best thing was the food. I always struggle everywhere we have stayed with dried-out bacon, so hard you can't cut it. The bacon here was perfect every day. Evening meal was not fine dining, but we hadn't paid for that. Great choices every night, loads of fresh meat, and great desserts. Tables were cleared very quickly, and food replenished straight away. The value for money was excellent in this hotel. Thank you to all the staff; we will be back.
Great location, good rooms, poolside clean and well maintained.
Generally, the hotel is fair value, however there are pitfalls. Parking fees are ridiculous. All inclusive buffet is just about average, reasonable choice but not great.
The bar is typical of an all inclusive option, though cocktails aren't particularly good.
Do not touch the A la Carte restaurant with a bargepole. It is shocking. We went to the Italian night and the food was embarrassing, service poor and the Maitre d' couldn't give a jot. We didn't finish our meal and no-one cared.
My wife and I visited the hotel over Easter 2026. We travelled by Easy Jet Holidays.
The staff at reception were excellent and we had no problems booking in /out and they were always there with a smile when we chatted.
As many people have mentioned the hotel was built some time ago, it is immaculately maintained and the cleanliness is outstanding. The gardens and the pool area are well kept.
We had a sea view room well worth the small extra charge.
Many reviewers have commented on the buffet food, overall the food was good, breakfast was a joy. There were sometimes flat spots in the Lunch and Dinner choices, but we did not starve and we always found some thing that was good to eat.
All the staff were excellent in the resturaunt staff , the reception staff, the housekeeping staff and the bar staff, thanks to you all for making our holidays really enjoyable.
The location of the hotel in Puerta de la Cruz means that the weather my be a bit changeable and it was but the hotel is within walking distance of the town, the sea front and all the amenities.
My wife and I have holidayed on both sides of the Atlantic and we feel it is unfair to
to compare the all inclusive deals and the the level of accommodation and food on offer due to the vast differential in wages and costs.
Over all my wife and I we very happy with our stay at the Bahia San Felipe. And yes we will go back.
If you are a Coeliac then bread is available.
Top tip Get a sea view room an a high floor the views are incredible,
Not aimed at thsi hotel just general point is;
When you have a double room why oh why is there only one stand for one suitcase.
Hoteliers take note.
Our 4-night stay was one of the worst experiences we’ve had in the hotel industry. The entertainment was cancelled twice without any prior notice. We let our kids stay up late specifically for these shows, only for them to end up exhausted and disappointed. Management didn’t even bother to announce the cancellations; we only realized it when the basic daytime activities just kept looping.
The service gaps didn't stop there. We had to constantly ask for basic necessities like fresh towels. The food options were incredibly limited, and we were nickel-and-dimed for everything—including paid parking and a fee just to use the safe (locker) inside our own room. You have to beg for every basic service here. Avoid this hotel if you value communication and basic hospitality.
Good stay in nice hotel , great clean room, and food buffet was good as well
9 out of 10
Lovely location...lovely sea views..pools really lovely...spotless clean...freindly staff...entertainment dated..bingo..karaoke..quiz...the food is very basic...staff top up food on top of food that has sat for a while...all plates are cold so by the time you get back to table so is food..we got a meal in the Mediterranean restaurant..that was well below average...staff didn't even ask if all was OK when they picked up my full plate..never had such a failure of a lasagne...
Die Lage
Es war noch frisches Wetter und ich habe im Zimmer gefroren. Der kleine Heizer kam nie in meinem Zimmer an.
Exceptional quality of staff, entertainment, cleanliness, food and location, even though the hotel was a bit tired and need of updating, I’d still recommend this hotel and standby my 5 star review. The room we had was spotless and had a sea view, which was picture postcard.
In die Jahre gekommen, im Zimmer roch es nach Schimmel
The hotel was very clean and every member of staff could not be more friendly and helpful.
The food however was awful and I don’t care where you have travelled from doubt you would be happy with what was presented. I have never been on holiday and had cereal for my breakfast but did on this trip. Both myself and my daughter developed a severe tummy bug and although we cannot be sure blamed the luke warm food. Missed one dinner as poorly went out for our final night.
Good points water machine on landings, cleanliness and lovely staff.
They need to work on food and unless very early only potato choice was chips as they soon ran out of boiled.
If they upped the game on this would be amazing place to stay.
Don’t bother with you AI reply not interested.
Good points -
> Entertainment staff Eri & Blue were fantastic and very personable making you feel welcomed
> Location right next to Ocean and a short walk into town
> The bar, waiting and reception staff were all fantastic and very friendly
> Heated outdoor pool. Particularly as we had a week where the weather wasn't that great at times
A few negatives
> Food choices for a 4 star hotel were limited. No fresh orange juice just the machine diluted stuff which is my pet hate. Be careful at the fresh grilled meat section also. I went to pick up a piece of chargrilled Turkey breast which the chef had just placed under heater. One side was perfectly cooked. I then turned the piece round to find it was pink. Good job I spotted it before putting onto my plate.
> Mattress was awful. Memory foam but much too hard. Never got a full night's sleep the entire time.
> Massage conducted by the young gentleman at the spa was very poor and lax. Didn't seem to want to be there. Probably the worst massage I've had. €55 Euro for 35 mins back neck and shoulders.
