Grand old hotel, located next to the railway station. Refurbished nicely. Great breakfast option, dinner good and the bar area nicely appointed with couches, fireplace and snug.
Bar service when seated slow.
perfect location. hotel was friendly and clean. enjoyed my stay. Local bus stop to travel to the cost and a nice walk to the city center, also a great location for sligo rovers grounds . looking forward to booking my next visit.
The service in the pub area for food was slow and the lunch food was average. It didn't match the rest of the hotel or experience. only let down, otherwise excellent.
Comfortable and convenient
Location rooms well presented clean breakfast plenty of staff couldn’t do enough for you from checking to check out will definitely be back
Couldn’t find any issues
Food was excellent, as a coeliac plenty of gluten free options were available and staff were very helpful
Having to use a stairs to get to our room although receptionist did offer us a more accessible room however we thanked her and politely declined
The food that was available was good, ni restaurant available when we stayed, pub grub and breakfast were good. Staff friendly and helpful.
The restaurant wasn't an option for dinning, leisure and pool facilities where closed.
We had to move rooms during the night as the heating wasn't working, moved to a smaller room and what I felt was a lower standard than what we paid for. Definitely overpriced for what we received.
A nice hotel with old world charm. We stayed for two nights in a suite room.
The staff in this hotel are exceptional, Geeshan, Louise ( duty managers) and Deimante in food and beverages all super
Everything. Staff very good. Food was lovely. Comfortable cosy rooms. Couldn't fault it. Would love to return another time in the future.
Nothing.
A pizza do restaurante... precisamos devolve-la. A massa estava meio crua e muito ruim.
Handy location for footy stadium n bus station.
Beautifil hotel .beds veru comfy.
Nothing was a greay shory stay
Lovely staff, room was modern, spotless and very comfortable. Location was great for both exploring central Sligo Town on foot and heading out in the car to all of the wonderful sites nearby. Would definitely stay here again!
Staff where very helpful, nice bar food
Good location next to the Train Station.

Unfortunately, several aspects of our stay fell well below expectations, particularly given that we were travelling with a baby and had chosen your hotel for comfort and convenience.
Firstly, the outdoor lift was out of order for the duration of our stay. This meant we were required to carry our baby in a pram up and down multiple flights of steps, which was both difficult and sun safe.
In our room, the television did not function properly. Although it appeared to be a smart TV, it was not connected and could not be connected during our stay. As a result, once our baby went to bed at 8pm, we were left having to watch television on our phones.
The room temperature was uncomfortably high, and we were informed that it was not possible to turn the heating down or switch off the radiator. The only option provided was to open the window, which faced onto a noisy main street. This was not a practical solution, as the only available space for the travel cot was directly beneath the window, making it unsafe to leave open overnight.
Additionally, the water pressure in the room was extremely poor. The tap spluttered when turned on, causing water to spray across the sink area and making basic use difficult.
The high chair provided for our baby was old, dirty, and unsuitable for a child under one year old. We had to use cushions from the bar seating area to safely support our baby, which is far from acceptable.
We were also very disappointed with our dining experience. When booking, we had pre-arranged a three-course meal as part of our package and were advised that 6:30pm was the earliest available reservation time. However, on arrival, we were informed that the restaurant was closed and that we would instead be dining in the bar, with a reduced menu similar to what had been offered the previous evening.
The table provided in the bar was far too small to accommodate us comfortably. My husband was unable to sit properly, and staff struggled to fit plates and glasses on the table, resorting to using the windowsill for additional space. While the staff were polite and clearly doing their best, the service was extremely slow. By 8pm—one hour and thirty minutes after placing our order—we were still waiting with empty main course plates.
We also found the leisure facilities to be very basic, dated and not suitable for families or babies.
Overall, this experience was disappointing and did not represent good value for money. While we appreciate the efforts of your staff, the number and nature of these issues significantly impacted our stay.
I have raised these concerns with the hotel but have not received any reply. Would not recommend and will not be returning.
