At the price you pay you would expect there would be Sky TV. There was a constant humming from the bathroom fan but no switch to be able to turn off. Called reception was told it would turn off at 10.30pm didn’t switch off until 11pm probably a little late at night for those who like a quiet night!!
The breakfast was basic.. had to pay extra for cappuccino seems odd in this day… only white bread… could use work
Breakfast
Very central to everything.
Location within Hamner and the staff could not have been more helpful
The rooms had no air conditioning and no mosquito nets were missing on our doors making it hot. The hotel was tired and the pathways made taking luggage to the rooms difficult all in all not a good stay and way below expectations. Give others a look at before booking a garden room
It was a real treat to stay in this hotel. It was very comfortable, had a lovely garden to walk in and was situated right in the middle if town. I would like to mention two members of the team who were so welcoming on our arrival and in the restaurant on our first evening. I am sorry that I do not know their names (a woman and a man) but they were the perfect combination of friendly and professional.
Nothing
Great staff
Soft beds
Excellent location. Friendly, helpful staff. Good evening meal. Lovely garden and ouside area + pool.
No air conditioning. Continental breakfast a bit too simple.
The location, staff very kind and helpful
Very stuffy rooms, rubbish left in there from previous near beds and in the seats
Location to town and pools
A wee bit tired in areas
Happy hour room size across the road for food and shops hot pools able to walk to bars.
Heated pool the grounds
Could use more than just a standing fan, was hot!
Location
It’s so outdated and is in need of a good remodel. We only saw 3 staff members which is quite odd for a hotel that size. The price was also a bit on the high side considering it’s such an old property.
Location.
Dinner menu was limited.
We requested decaffeinated coffee after dinner. A wakeful night of both of us would suggest we were not given decaf. Combined with hot rooms we had poor night’s sleep.
Continental breakfast was limited. Fruit was either a pool of tinned peaches or a whole orange. If you like marmalade, then it’s not there.
Excellent location - right opposite the thermal pools and within walking distance of all cafes, bars, restaurants and shops. Great to be able to have breakfast at the hotel and walk over to the pools at the opening time of 10am when they are at their quietest.
Staff were all professional and genuinely friendly.
Bed was too soft, particularly on one side. Plug in washbasin did not fit properly.
The new external dark grey colour scheme, whilst smart, seemed a little too plain and dull. I preferred it the previous lighter yellow shade.
Naming the hotel simply 'Edit' (after the hotel group) doesn't seem right - from the outside you wouldn't necessarily know it was a hotel.
