Omni staff well above par
Pros:

We stayed at the Omni champions gate for a Father’s Day staycation last weekend.
From start to finish we had such a wonderful time. The property is beautiful and the staff very friendly and helpful. Zachary suggested so many great activities helped us book and set them up, the spa, the neat golf driving range experience, dinner reservations. All fantastic.
and he checked back in during our stay and made sure we were having a good time, so appreciated.
The bellman Shane was so kind and helpful on arrival.
Our stay was sprinkled with check ins and little surprises from the concierge, Thaddeus. Very kind and personable, we felt we could reach out at any time with questions and that our stay was being curated specifically for us.
The attendant at the pool on Sunday, Lizeth, was amazing and made sure we were well fed and suggested great drink options. The pool was spacious and well designed, we enjoyed the wave pool and lazy river the most.
Dinner on Sunday was awesome, we went to David’s, the food was amazing, I appreciated the gluten free options for me. and Manny made the experience even better with the fantastic drink suggestions and thorough and friendly service. He was funny and really enhanced the Father’s Day dinner experience for us and the kids.
We utilized the larger main gym during our stay, and found it was incredibly well equipped for a hotel gym, well stocked and clean.
Both of our breakfast experiences at Trevi’s were lovely, I wish I remembered the name of our waitress Sunday because she as so sweet and helpful, it was so nice we went back Monday for the beautiful buffet and Donald did an equally great job providing a friendly start to our day.
We stayed as long as we could Monday and enjoyed the lazy river, and coffee from the cafe on our way out.
We can’t wait to come back, thanks everyone at Omni for a beautiful, fun, relaxing weekend.

A Memorable Family Getaway!
Pros:

We recently stayed at the Omni Championsgate to celebrate my birthday with my family, and it was truly the perfect getaway! Having worked in the hospitality industry for 20 years, I especially appreciated the level of care, professionalism, and genuine warmth shown by the entire team throughout our stay.

It was clear that everyone at the property was committed to creating a memorable experience, and they absolutely succeeded. From the moment we arrived, Thaddeus went above and beyond to make me feel welcomed, valued, and appreciated during our entire visit. His kindness and attention to detail made a lasting impression.

We also had a wonderful experience at Eagles Edge, where Jesus was incredibly friendly and hospitable. We enjoyed relaxing as a family while floating down the lazy river, and Croc’s was another highlight — especially with our favorite bartender, Ruben, who made the experience even more memorable with his great service and friendly personality.

Our stay was truly wonderful, and we are so grateful for the hospitality we received. Thank you to the entire team for making my birthday celebration so special. We cannot wait to return!

Girls Trip & Staycation Escape
Pros:

The Omni was perfect for our quick girls trip and staycation. We throughly enjoyed all the pools and relaxing atmosphere each area provided. The Zen restaurant was the perfect way end the day. The meal was excellent, atmosphere perfect and there was a slight hiccup with my original cocktail but it was quickly remedied. We are already making plans to return for another staycation!

5 star service
Pros:

We had a wonderful Father’s Day and birthday celebration. Upon check in, we were upgraded due to my son‘s birthday, which was very nice. My family enjoyed a wonderful day at the wave pool, lazy river, waterslide and hot tub. When we went upstairs to get ready for dinner, there was a knock at the door and a staff member had a wonderful chocolate platter full of delicacies for my son’s birthday. We also enjoyed our smores kits at the fire pit! We went to dinner at David’s late night and the food was excellent. We didn’t have a long time to stay here, but when we checked out in the morning, Diamond gave two bags full of goodies for my son and I. She was so nice and offered us coffee, tea or a drink, and we felt really important. I only wish we could’ve stayed one more day to enjoy the resort in full. Next time!

Pros:

I recently stayed at this hotel and had a mixed but overall positive experience.

The highlights of the stay were definitely the staff and amenities. The front desk team was phenomenal—friendly, professional, and very accommodating throughout my visit. The view from my room was amazing, and I was impressed with the room’s size and overall layout. The amenities were top-notch, and I thoroughly enjoyed both the restaurant and bar at Eagles Edge. The food, drinks, and atmosphere were excellent.

That said, there were a few areas that need improvement. The hotel is beginning to show its age and could benefit from some renovations. The bed was squeaky and not particularly comfortable. Room cleanliness was also an issue, as there was a noticeable amount of dust on several surfaces, especially the tables and phone. Although I had not opted out of housekeeping, I still had to request that the room be cleaned.

The bathroom also had some maintenance concerns. The shower had a small lip that failed to contain the water, causing significant leakage onto the bathroom floor. A simple bead of caulk and a longer shower curtain would likely solve the problem. Additionally, the shower’s water pressure was disappointing.

Despite these issues, I enjoyed many aspects of my stay and would be willing to give this hotel another try in the future.

Another Successful TikiSocial Installation Experience
Pros:

When we come to install marketing activations all across the country for Omni Hotels & Resorts we are on a focused mission with little to no time to spare before needing to race off to the next location. This pace continued for over 120 days non-stop.

Because of this pace and zero room for unexpected delays, it is imperative that we work well with Omni staff in numerous departments such as servers, bartenders, custodial, engineering, pool staff, front desk, dining, sales. Without these staff members leaning in hard with us to make the needed adjustments in service without skipping a beat, we would never be able to finish on-time, much less days early.

The following staffers made a real and noticeable impact on our ability to work Amd our ability to relax and restore ourselves at the end of each day:

Bar Staff: Diego, Laney
Servers: Yasin, Keenan
Mgr: Grace, the Mgr on Duty @David's Saturday & Sunday evening during World Cup (spacing on name but he was exceptionally on top of everyone and everything, consistently
Engineering: Daniel and the Engineer who graciously but cautiously lent me his drill and drill/bit indexes to finish installing the 3ft Tiki God masks hours b4 we left.
F&B: Ted Z and Nabil - we blow these repeatedly throughout the day, every day we are on-site to troubleshoot, find missing stored elements, deliveries, updates, questions and they never tire or complain, they just help us get it done.

All clients are Not created equal, and these Omni staff are just the top of a very long list of staff that make every project at Omni successful for our mission and an absolute pleasure during our stay.

ThinkBrothers thanks each and every one of you!

Split Personality
Pros:

My family just checked out from the Omni Orlando Championsgate after a two night stay. I could have rated some aspects of our stay 1 or 2 stars and others 4 to 5 stars depending on what we're talking about. 3 is where I landed overall and in some respects I feel I may have been too generous.

I originally booked two separate rooms, one for my two young daughters, wife and I and another for my parents. I called asking to purchase an upgrade to a larger room for us to be a little more comfortable and eventually the representative offered for us to purchase an upgrade for one of our rooms to a "two bedroom villa" for $300/night on top of our existing room rate. As this room would be 1500+ sq ft and have enough beds for my entire family (parents included) I cancelled my second room reservation.

When we arrived at the hotel, we checked in at the main reception in the main hotel building. The representative was very friendly and took the time to walk me through the layout of the hotel. She provided me with the most efficient way to get to the building our 'villa' room was in, which I knew was different from the main building based on previous discussions with the representative I spoke to on the phone.

This is where things took a turn for us. When we arrived at the separate 'villa' building, which I must admit was a reasonable walking distance from the main building, we noticed the hallways had a musty or smokey odor (luckily this wasn't present in our room). When we arrived at our villa's door, we thought our key cards didn't work, but it was just that you had to use some force to open the door. Once inside the room, it had everything the representative described (one king bedroom, one two-bed bedroom, a separate living/dining/kitchen room and another separate den-like room), but the furniture was extremely outdated. To put this in context, my dad who is comfortable just about anywhere, has just turned 72 and has stayed in the hotel before, thought the furniture was severely outdated and the room desperately needed a renovation. Nonetheless, the room appeared clean, so we decided to take a trip to the pool with the kids because we saw online there was a lazy river, wave pool and water slides for kids. This is where we almost decided to check out.

We walked to the pool and before we even got there we heard a lot of activity and music. When we got to the pool we noticed it was extremely busy with nearly all of the pool chairs occupied. We got towels from the towel hut and the staff seemed generally irritated. We went looking for somewhere to settle in and were unsuccessful. I can't quite describe in words the environment but I can say that this was not the serene atmosphere that appears on the Omni's advertising and certainly didn't match any 4+ star hotel I have ever stayed at. As we were looking, there was a collapsible table set up serving snow cones and I asked if there was anywhere we could grab something to eat while we were at the pool. The staff indicated the pool restaurant was closed for renovations, but we could go back inside the main hotel building and go to their 'Deli' for food. We eventually found some seemingly vacant pool chairs (there were still towels strewn about) and sat down while my daughters went in the pool. I noticed near where we were seated that there were more collapsible tables and canopies set up that seemed to have some food for sale (which the snow cone staff we just talked to must not been aware of). The staff appeared generally unwelcoming and I asked if the menu posted out front was, in fact, available, to which they said 'yes'. I ordered some burgers and chicken fingers for us and, while waiting, noticed that the lazy river was nearby so I asked where you could get the inflatable donuts/inner tubes to use the river. They, again seemingly irritated, told me that usually there would be tubes available next to the river but they were all taken and must be in the river somewhere. I have never felt such a 'fend for yourself' attitude from so many staff members of a hotel and there was no one even pretending to try to provide hotel-like service. This felt like I was at a low budget company barbeque and too many people came. I was so embarrassed I had made these arrangements for my family and we had contemplated leaving the property. It didn't take long for us to decide that returning to our already disappointing room was the better option for the evening. We went outside the hotel and brought food back for fear or what room service might look like.

Up until this point, I would have easily rated this hotel 1-2 stars, but things were dramatically different the next day. We were going to Disney the next day, so I had prearranged a 9am departure using the hotel's shuttle. We decided to go to the breakfast buffet beforehand. Shockingly, everything was great. The restaurant looked nice, wasn't crowded at all and was relatively quiet, we were seated quickly, service was friendly, attentive and swift and the food was enjoyed by my whole family. While at breakfast, I was texted by the shuttle driver personally to remind me of my upcoming trip and confirm timing. This felt like a different hotel altogether.

The shuttle drivers were the absolute standout. The buses themselves were relatively small which was nice and the drivers could not have been more professional, greeting all parties by name and confirming destination and drop-off order. We had also been told in advance that despite going to EPCOT we would be dropped off at Magic Kingdom, but because no other parties were going to Magic Kingdom, the drivers happily dropped us off directly at EPCOT and told us our pick up could be at EPCOT too. Even more pleasantly, the pick up driver at the end of the day texted me in advance not only to confirm the pick up but also told me not to rush because there were no other parties being picked up at that time and we could spend a little extra time in the park if we desired. Then when we got back to the hotel she offered to drive us directly to the villa building instead of the main hotel building. I can't emphasize enough how professional these two drivers were and how different our experience was with them compared to the day prior.

Luckily the positive experience continued through to our last day. We had a similarly great experience at breakfast as the day prior. We also tried the pools again and it was the total opposite of the one we had just two days prior. Staff greeted us on arrival and offered to generally assist with whatever we needed. None of the facilities were overcrowded, we easily found seating and had access to all the attractions (kids slides, wave pool, lazy river, etc.). Floatation devices and inflatable donuts were plentiful and available in multiple locations. Even the restaurant that was under renovation had reopened (although we did not have time to try it), menus were distributed throughout and there were no collapsible tables or canopies to be found. My two daughters had an absolutely amazing time enjoying all the pools had to offer and it seemed like many of the other guests were just small families enjoying the facilities as well.

Given the stark contrast between our two experiences (make no mistake, our room didn't renovate itself overnight, but the service was very different), I had to ask the staff members what had been going on when we checked in that might have created such an unpleasant experience. Two staff members at different times mentioned to me that generally weekends in the summer are very busy because they have events and sometimes have 'day pass' customers (which I didn't realize was possible considering all the signs that suggest the pool is for hotel guests only). I also heard from both staff members that they had heard it was an especially busy weekend, so it remains a bit of a mystery what led to such an unpleasant arrival for us.

Overall, I have to be honest and say I would be very reluctant to return to the Omni Orlando Championsgate given how inconsistent our experience was. They had some truly exceptional staff members, but the facilities felt incredibly outdated and I just never want to run the risk of being in an environment like we experienced at the pool while we're trying to enjoy our vacation. I also feel like we were severely overcharged for our 'upgrade' to villa that seemed like it hadn't been updated in decades.

I get the feeling there is a 4+ star experience for some people at the Omni Orlando, I just don't know what you would have to do to guarantee it.
