I found bugs in the room. The deadbolt doesn't lock it's miss aligned. The bathroom tub has a large chip inside. The carpet is dirty, the moldings are cheap and need in repair. It needs alot of TLC.

We always stay here when we come into Commerce Texas, staff are always friendly and breakfast is always good.

Cons:

The exhaust fan was nit working in the bathroom and the AC was not very cool.

Cons:

A/C did not work. The Tv remote did not work. I have not stayed at this hotel since 2011. In that length of time, hands have changed, but very little renovations , if any, have been accomplished. Wall paper in the bathroom is scotch taped up around the bath/ shower. Breakfast was good, and the hostess did her best to keep up considering a number of schools' students were on sight. Worked the area right up until the close of the breakfast at 9 am. She was very courteous and cordial to the students and attending adults.

It's an ok place to sleep for a night
Pros:

Room was clean and location was close to our event in town

Cons:

Worst continental breakfast I have ever had at any hotel. They should not serve breakfast if it is that bad, it just hurts their overall rating.

I will always stay at the Magnuson Hotel. Love the vibe.
Pros:

Commerce is my home town and whenever I come home I stay here. Im always satisfied with mostly everything. If I have or when I have had an issue it was resolved to everyone's satisfaction. Its also convenient to the stores and restaurants. I will always take my business here.

Bed Sheets had stains and blood on them. Holes in the curtains and wall had food on them

Pros:

It was not good at all my room was dirty when i first got there dirty bath tubs floor not clean sink not clean. And not to mention there was black mold in the ceiling above the tub and it smelled like mildew as well. I had to change rooms. And everyday after getting off work i would go to my room just to turn around and go back down to the first floor to get my card reprogrammed to my room everday. And the hot tub out doors did not heat up at all ..i will not be back. For sure

Pros:

We visiting out daughter who goes to school at East Texas A&M. The location is great. Right across from the school and right next door to Walmart.

Stayed at this location earlier this year and thought we would give them another try. Was not much better this trip. Room still smelled very musky. My son said his bed smelled like urine.

Pros:

Very dirty, roaches and crickets in the room and check in area. When we checked in there was dead bugs in the check in area. On leaving the property the bugs was still in the same place. Roaches on the walls, and when we pointed it out to the front office they moved us to another room with roaches, crickets and dead spiders. I went to the front desk to get a broom to sweep the bugs up, but was told housekeeping would come. Never showed up. The hallway was covered with crickets. The furniture in the rooms was broken and dirty. The elevator was horrible with dust and mud on the floor. They have no competition so they aren’t worried about cleaning because people don’t have a choice when visiting the college.
