Lovely and relaxing in a gorgeous setting.
Pros:

Comfy beds, gorgeous grounds and lovely staff, especially Poppy the receptionist.

Cons:

Swimming pool changing rooms need a little updating, especially showers.

Hunton Park Hotel.
Pros:

Lovely house and park setting. Nice clean comfortable rooms. Shower and hair toiletries were lovely. Cleaners and reception staff were friendly. One young man in the bar made us lovely cocktails on the second evening, very keen to help us get what we would like.

Cons:

Breakfast was very poor on one of our two mornings. The restaurant was too small for the size of hotel. They ran out of cups, glasses, bowls and plates. No muesli at all! The coffee machine wasn't working. Tables were left uncleared, keeping a queue waiting to sit down. Not enough staff to deal with all this. One member of staff in the bar was very rude and dismissive, not at all interested in what we wanted. Generally staff were not very friendly or interested.

Hunton Park Hotel
Pros:

We hebben een ontzettend fijn verblijf gehad in dit hotel. Het personeel was erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam, waardoor we ons meteen welkom voelden. Alles was netjes verzorgd en het hotel was schoon en goed onderhouden.

Het ontbijt was echt een aanrader: er was volop keuze en alles smaakte heerlijk. Daarnaast waarderen we de gastvrijheid en flexibiliteit van het hotel. Toen een vriendin onverwacht één nacht kwam slapen, werd daar helemaal niet moeilijk over gedaan. Dat vonden we erg prettig en getuigt van een klantvriendelijke service.

Kortom: een fijn hotel met vriendelijk personeel, goede voorzieningen en een warme sfeer. We komen hier zeker graag nog eens terug!

Cons:

Het enige wat een beetje tegenviel, was de locatie. Voor de Harry Potter-tour is het hotel ideaal gelegen, maar verder is de bereikbaarheid wat minder. De bussen rijden niet heel vaak en ook niet tot laat in de avond, waardoor je soms een stuk moet lopen of rekening moet houden met de beperkte tijden. Dit was een kleine tegenvaller, maar verder hebben we een heel fijn verblijf gehad.

Personalet var venlig og beliggende var god i forhold til Warner Bros studio

Cons:

Hotellet var ret slidt og det var en stor bryllupsfest, som spillede høj musik til ud på natten.
Restauranten var lukket og vi blev tilbudt at spise i baren. Maden var ikke særlig veltilberedt

Did the job for one night.
Pros:

Perfect hotel for South Herts area. Reasonably priced. Easy access to Watford and St Albans.
Pros:

Excellent decor and facilities particularly the beautifully tiled bathroom which was compact but very functional. Loathe car park. Exterior and interior well decorated and attractive.
Absolutely beautiful and substantial grounds.

Cons:

No lift to upper floor and stairs to entrance. Check for wheelchair access.
No late night bar. Room was modestly sized but perfectly adequate.
