The friendliness of the staff from checking in to helping with luggage to checking out was excellent! Always with a friendly smile. We even got a free upgrade to a larger corner room.

The hotel is an older hotel, but beautifully maintained and outfitted. It was also in a great location for what we needed to do.
They have a complementary shuttle from the airport and train station, and the employees were friendly.
As an older hotel, the walls were thin. We could hear our neighbors unzip their suitcase 😅 Also, one of the lounges was closed for cleaning, so we couldn't enjoy the fireplace during our visit.

The room was a good size, overlooking a traffic free space. It was light and included a sofa and chair, so felt roomy and comfortable..Food good including room service and plenty of alternatives in the immediate vicinity for eating.
In need of updating, quite shabby in places , carpets needed replacing, decor in need of a refresh. The beds were unusually small for an American hotel, so a bit cozy for a couple. The mattresses were very soft so quite uncomfortable to sleep on.
Only one tiny elevator was working during our stay. We could not get all our luggage and a stroller in. Our room was not refreshed during our stay - beds not made, bins not emptied. This may have been due to the problem with the elevator. We did not complain as the hotel appeared to be under-staffed.
When requesting information about room-service ,as there was nothing in the room, reception staff had nothing to offer me either and told me to look at the website. I ended up photographing the restaurant menus and ordering by phone. More staff and more staff training needed.
Spa area and gym in the basement smelt mouldy.
This was the third (and most expensive hotel) of a 3 centre holiday. It was the least successful mostly because of the inadequate customer service.
