They charged 20 dollars to have your car parked in there lot.
For a hotel costing $300+ a night, charging for a bottle of water is pretty tacky
It’s centrally located which makes it close to just about everything we were there to do.
The elevator is extremely SLOW
Clean room, nice people, location, hot tub, plenty of parking
no breakfast included
This place is really great, In the midst of Bend's "Old Mill District." You can easily stroll through plazas filled with upscale stores and enjoy an easy walking trail that runs along the river. I think there is also a concert venue too. We arrived on Halloween. We joined a healthy crowd down along the river and watched folks in costumes on stand up paddle boards going past -- singing and calling out to all of us on the shore. Fun, especially for families. This hotel is part of a chain and is not a boutique hotel. But it makes up for that with excellent service and really clean, comfortable rooms. Staff members were VERY helpful Good fitness center and indoor pool. The only thing that could be improved is the morning breakfast buffet. The hot food needs to be kept hotter.
Clean. Good location
Nothing
Great location!
Only 1 elevator.
was a good stop close to the mill district nice hotel good value
Overall a great place. The bed was an extreme issue. Not a very supportive mattress. Neither my wife or myself cared for it at all.
No room safe - really?
Great helpful staff.
Aircon was stuck on snd controls did not work. I chose not to bother staff overnight.
Property is in a nice area of Bend. However, it is getting a bit tired and the owners charge a very premium price. Additionally, the property imposes a $20/night parking surcharge that is not disclosed. The breakfast at $14/pp is quite high for the area.
Check in staff seemed overworked and stressed out. He said my room number out loud which I hate.
Great location and friendly staff. Outdated hotel stuck in the 90s. Entire place musty. No way to steam services like Netflix, etc on small tv. Breakfast not included like similar hotels in area. $20 parking per night. Bathroom clean but very worn. King bed room not spacious. Paid for river view but really was not visible from 2nd floor. Ice machine broken on the floor.
For the money, if location is not essential like for a concert across the river, select elsewhere where hotel is up to date and roomier. We have experienced better in the area.
Again friendly folks but misses the mark for the money.
The room was just fine, although they forgot to leave a bar of soap. Upon check-in, they could not make keys. So that was the only problem. After we came back from dinner, we were able to obtain keys.
I would title this review " why I would not stay at the Hilton, Bend Oregon" again.
As far as this hotel is concerned, aside from the location, the overall experience was disappointing.
My partner and I stayed for 4 days, and requested a suite as we prefer extra room and privacy for our work and sleep habits. The suite in the Hilton is large enough and actually has a loft which was very attractive.
Other than adequate space, however, there were several things which seemed inadequately supervised. The following is a list in no particular order.
1. Immediately upon entering the room we noticed that the toilet was exceedingly difficult to flush. After removing the lid I discerned that the flusher control was very worn. We were able to use it during our stay, with each flush requiring wrist strain, but we do not like service personnel in our room during a stay, so we made the best of it. This should have been addressed by your staff, who surely flush the toilet between guests.
2. The 2 story room has a large upper window with electric controls of the shade. These were inoperative. Again, this was so obvious that I was actually amazed that the staff were surprised when I informed them of the problem. Again, I did not want workmen in the room with ladders, equipment etc. so we made do with eye shades. How was this not noticed and fixed?
3. The carpet was deeply filthy, although superficially vacuum cleaned.
4. a hallway sink outside the bathroom is clumsy and outdated
Hilton decided to charge $20 for parking. Bend is a small city, other hotels in the area do not charge for parking, and space is ample for parking lots. We will not stay at this Hilton hotel again. The excuse was that concert goers might park there. So give guests a parking pass.
