We got to the hotel at 4:00pm and were told there were not rooms ready. They had no clean linens and couldn’t tell us when a room would be ready. We waited an hour and 1/2 before asking them to cancel our reservation and checked into the Hampton Inn on Canal. They had a room right away for us and took good care of us.
The property staff and manager were no help at all. Were not accommodating or helpful. It was a waste of my money and I will make sure to let others know to not book here!
The hotel staff was friendly and the room was beautiful. The 3 rd party valet was horrible ,rude, disrespectful and ruined my door. The brown skin skinny girl with wavy hair was rude and disrespectful and so was the brown skinned thick dude with curly hair. They are a 3 rd party valet parking so they don’t care about your experience. They also use the customers cars to go to the store
The valet parking 3 rd party vendor
Very good breakfast options and convenient dinner
Room smell , like cigarettes
Great friendly staff and good facilities, comfy beds.
Most stained carpets I have ever seen. Disgusting in and outside the rooms. Otherwise everything was clean and convenient.
Fast but loud lifts we could hear constantly in our room. Thin walls, as there was a corridor and room between us and the lifts. Our other room heard everything from their neighboring room.
The suite had issues, tv didn’t work properly, maid service didn’t clean room properly, towels weren’t replaced, phones and internet didn’t work.
The afternoon we arrived there was a water main break, which triggered a boil water alert from the health department for the CBD, French Quarter, Garden District and surrounding areas. The hotel made no effort to inform guests not to use tap water for drinking, brushing teeth, etc. The hotel had my cell number and texted me several times with the "how is your stay" messages, but no warning. We found out the next morning when watching local news (after possible exposure to illness by using tap water in our room). When I contacted the front desk and asked they handed me a paper explaining the issue and two bottles of water. This is grossly irresponsible and endangers guests' health.
The hotel itself is quite run down and needed a refresh about 15 years ago. Our room was dirty, with crumbs on the floor, unknown sticky substance on the desk, and some sort of debris on the sheets. Bathroom ceiling was moldy, shower curtain rod was bent down, vanity was not clean and the tub was stained and rusty. Hallway light fixtures had broken shades, carpet was stained, the street entrance was dirty and unwelcoming, and the sidewalks in front of the hotel were filthy and had a massive hole (trip hazard) where bricks were dislodged and missing. The street where the hotel is located is also filthy and appears to be more of an alley where other buildings store their dumpsters and receive deliveries.
Food offerings at the restaurant were mostly greasy fried junk, bar was closed (apparently the bartender didn't show for work), and the "lounge" area was dated and unwelcoming.
I travel frequently for work and have Diamond status and this is absolutely the worst Hilton property I have visited (quite an accomplishment, beating out the dumpy Clinton NJ Hampton Inn!). There are plenty of nice hotels in the area and I strongly recommend avoiding this property.
The location of this hotel and friendly staff were the best parts of this visit. Otherwise, this was the worst Hilton I’ve ever stayed in. Unfortunately, the room was not clean. I picked up peanuts from the carpet and noticed other pieces of food bits and paper along with confetti on the carpet. It appeared to not have been vacuumed. You could see plastic lids under the bed and lots of dust along with plastic wrappers of some sort. Obviously not cleaned in some time.
The microwave turntable was sticky and had dried food on it, obviously not wiped out for some time.
The parking situation upon arrival was without an entrance area. The lobby was on the 11th floor and in the garage there no was assistance to explain check-in procedure or carts to help bring luggage into the building. Very confusing and not user friendly! AVOID!
Location was very close to canal and bourbon
Pool was very small
Walking distance to most places we wanted to visit.
The hotel allows alot of vagrants to hang directly out front at night smoking weed.
The Breakfast was the only thing I liked.
I did not like that the property manager woke me up at 7am to tell me that we do not have reservation for the room. They came by 3 times and told me that we had to leave. The guy who they sent did not have a badge or uniform on so my family thought we were being robbed. After they figure out that we had reservations they gave us another room as an upgrade but I later found out that the card we left for incidentals was charged $1,380.40. The next morning I went to see why and the manager would not come to help us with the situation until I called my aunt on the board of Hilton to get a refund. My family was scared the whole weekend the staff had little but nothing to say to us after everything - we were afraid of them getting back at us - revenge. It was not a very good stay. Staff was rude.
Breakfast was pretty good , self parking was pretty efficient
Loud , a/c wasn't working / took me a day to get moved to a new room bc all rooms sold out so I had to sleep in a hot room all night , frat boy stayed on the same floor so they were beating on random doors
The hotel is centrally located to several points of interest. Our room was clean and quiet.
While staying there, I accidentally requested a package be delivered to the hotel. As it was late to be delivered, it arrived after we left. Lesley Blatcher at the front desk bent over backwards to get my package to me. I appreciate her efforts as well as the attention paid to us by the rest of the ladies at the front desk. They were lovely and do hrlpful!
