Wyndham Garden Charlotte Airport Southeast

The whole place smelled like weed. The staff is constantly spraying something to cover it up, but it didn't last long. My kids were scared to stay the two nights that we had booked. I'm not sure what happens at this hotel, but I would not call it family friendly at all. You get what you pay for people and this place was about as cheap as they come.

Going outside of the hotel it was a bit noisy. I also did not like the elevator and how most of them didn’t work. They were somewhat hard to locate

The property was not what displayed! It was nasty unclean everywhere smelled like mold and smoke! Bugs crawling in the walls through the cracks. All the walls and ceiling were cracking and peeling mold was in the bathroom ceiling. The tub was nasty the toilet was nasty something was biting us n the bed. The couch was stained and filthy. Soon rooms had pad locks on them some were written numbers on the wall. When you push the button for the elevator the floor lights flickers. The woman at the counter RUDE! Would not accommodate travel back to the airport. The male in the morning made a way. way more friendly! You can’t take food to your room and even though you pay for breakfast you can’t take it to your room or Togo. That alone was rediculous. It’s a scene out of a very scary movie and to have 3 small children with us that are very sensitive and allergic to things this was NOT the place to be. All night long people stayed out front smoking and carrying on like a party was being had. Run not walk away this is not the place to be comfortable

It was disgusting and there was trash left from previous people staying when I came in my room, the elevator wasn’t working and I had to use creepy stairs, pee left on the seat. Hated it but didn’t have the money to leave.

Hard bed and curtains wouldn’t close to block light. Hallways stink and bathrooms need updating.

Our room was not clean- the bathroom, fridge and table were dirty. I honestly feel if they got inspected, they would fail. It looked and felt like they don't do much cleaning.

We had to change rooms because the commode leaked all over the floor, the 2nd room smelled horrible and tv remote wouldn’t even work.

I don't like not being able to take my breakfast to my room. I don't particularly like eating around people like that in the morning. Just being honest, some people don't brush their teeth or wash their faces before they come down.

Also, the hotel has the potential to be a really nice hotel. However, one of the elevators is always down. They could really do a lot of nice things in the lobby area to make it nice!

Front desk lacked knowledge of how house keepers work. Didn’t let us know that they didn’t clean rooms on Saturday or Sunday when we checked in on Friday. She also had an attitude when we checked in and not with just us. She definitely should’ve called out or just not come to work to be honest
