The restaurant Above 5 was wonderful; better than a lot of Michelin resturants I have eaten at and our waiter Maro was awesome. What a great and friendly guy!
Nothing!
Style of the hotel. Professionalism of staff. Quality of breakfast.
Size of the food top restaurant, but this was unavoidable given the location.
Friendly staff and brilliant location just inside the Castle Walls
Charmant petit hotel situé au début de la vieille ville ce qui le rend plus pratique puisque les voitures n'ont pas accès aux immeubles à l'intérieur des remparts, il faut donc marcher avec les valises pour s'y rendre.
In the old town
Room was a little cramp
Had to switch rooms twice due to air conditioning not working
Beautiful little hotel in a great location in the Old Town. Wonderful restaurant
Room was small but part of the nature of the building
The restaurant was amazing with a spectacular chef. Great location in old town. Wonderful, helpful staff.
Loved our stay at this beautiful boutique hotel in a perfect location! Breakfast on the rooftop balcony was a highlight - highly recommend. Very nicely decorated (simple, elegant), clean, comfortable room. The staff were at every step very helpful, accommodating, and friendly. We had a glitch in our travel and had to stay an extra night and happily were able to move into another room - the staff ensured a quick turn-around to get into our new room and it was seamless. We were happy to stay another night in this wonderful hotel! Location is up a charming side street, and is very close to one of the main town gates, so very easy to get in and out with our (minimal) luggage to meet our driver and when dropped off.
No complaints. The hotel has no elevator and you have to take the stairs but they make that very clear when you research the hotel. I think for older or mobility impaired guests it might be tricky to be on one of the higher floors, but this is a quaint hotel in a very old city - adds to the charm, unless stairs/heights are a physical limitation for you!!
A small, delightful, authentic Boutique Hotel in The Old Town, perfect to celebrate our 10th Wedding Anniversary. The staff were genuinely friendly, remembering preferences & taking a real interest in their residents. Breakfast was taken in “Above 5” the rooftop terrace restaurant with the most amazing views over the Old Town. Meals were unhurried, lots of coffee refills and good Gluten Free options. Our bedroom 301 was small but had air con, a powerful shower & comfortable bed. Treat yourself to an evening meal. Expensive but exquisitely delicious and so memorable. Thanks to you all for making our stay so special and for the lovely comments on our memory book
We loved everything but a note to potential guests. Lots of steps both in the hotel and Old Town. Phone ahead and staff will meet you at The Old Town Pile Gate to help with luggage. No cars are allowed in.
Fantastic stay at boutique Hotel Stari Grad. Room was ready when I checked in at 12pm (not expected but a lovely surprise after arriving in Croatia from the US on an overnight flight). Beautiful room overlooking red roofs of old town. Soft robe, very comfortable bed, and the best shower of any hotel I’ve ever stayed at. The staff were wonderful and took care of the luggage (no elevator as old town is unesco protected- so there are stairs to the rooms). Beautiful rooftop restaurant with delicious food. Steps from the Stradum/ could not be more conveniently located. Overall a fantastic stay and hope to be back in the future!
The hotel is well located, close to the entry gate. It is very clean and the room was surprisingly quiet. The rooms are well appointed and comfortable. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. Staying here was a great experience.
Right in heart of Dubrovnik Old Town inside the walls. The rooms very well kept
Clearly paying for the location as the rooms are on the smaller side and service inconsistent.
Great location and amazing dinner at Above 5 restaurant. Spectacular views
From the top! However there are a lot of steps to get there so you feel you have early your supper by the time you sit down!
Reception area is small and not really conducive to having a drink from the bar.
“Be our guest” is certainly the vibe! Unbelievable hospitality! We felt like royalty from the airport pickup to the airport drop off and everything in between. We ate at the rooftop Above 5 with a backdrop of the sun setting and the moon rising! The dinner menu is a must to complete your stay. There were 14 in our party and the chef and waiter exceeded expectations. Would highly recommend!
Location. It’s within the city walls and so your right where you should be.
Having to climb up 3 floors . Being a unesco site, hotel is not allowed to have lifts or elevator
