Comfortable hotel in a great location

Pan Pacific Whistler Mountainside Amazing
Pros:

The property is very nice and our room was comfortable. Having the mountain view room was amazing. As a special touch they have a complimentary Après-ski for all guest from 3-6 everyday. But the best thing was the front desk staff and the housekeeping staff - all were wonderful! I’ve already booked my room for my 2027 stay.

I expected more but guess they have a captive market
Pros:

You can not fault the location of this hotel. It is steps from the main lifts and gondolas and close to bars and restaurants. It has ski storage, hot tubs, a sauna and pool, but it left me wanting.

Other accomodation has similar access without the $700 per night price tag during a quiet part of the season. Small things such as not acknowledging the hotel membership or the offer of a room upgrade (I know it’s subject to availability) when you check in is disappointing. We weren’t told about the spa, where to find the sauna or pool, or that the pub underneath was linked to the hotel and we could charge to the room. They also couldn’t send me a text to say when the room would be ready and I don’t have international roaming calls.

The room itself was spacious. A separate bedroom, equipped kitchen, good size fridge and small sofa with fireplace; it’s bigger than some one bedroom flats in major cities. But….no instructions on how to use the coffee machine, worn carpet and chipped wood work wasnt what I expected. If four people had been staying it would have been cosy.

The hotel also says they follow eco strategies which I applaud, except the towels were replaced everyday and the sheets changed too. If you want that then great, but I had purposefully left things so they wouldn’t be replaced.

You should be able to check your account through the tv system, but I received a message saying I couldn’t access this until I checked out.

Would I stay here again? If the price was right and no one else had availability then yes purely for the location, but I’d know not to expect a good morning from the reception desk as I walked past or any acknowledgement that I was paying a lot of money for a room. It’s Whistler…I know.

Pros:

Best location for skiing and access to Whistler Village . Outstanding amenities - wonderful pool and hot tubs and steam room. Valet - Max - provided the best service. So accommodating, friendly and professional.

Amazing location, perfect for families
Pros:

Best location! Great being able to store ski gear, quick walk to the gondola. Hot tub was good and nice to have a coin laundry available.

Cons:

Should clear that mini bar is not included in room service must display charges on table with stuff. This ridiculous sending bill after without mentioning at front or in room. Just printed paper mentioning so much . This is trick to trap people paying extra.
