Pros:

The bus service

Cons:

The breakfast room could definitely do with some decor to make it more inviting and the whole place looks as if it could do with a paint to be honest. The lounges in the front entrance also need to be replaced.

Great stay in Port Douglas
Pros:

Great location, close to beach. Free car park. Large size room with cooking facilities. Pools also included a lap pool.

Convenient 15 minute walk to town. Affordable for what you get and the services provided.
Pros:

Breakfast was all you need to get started for the day. The pool space was large with plenty of lounge chairs available. Having the pool food was handy. Staff were very proactive when it came to bringing things to their attention in our room.

Cons:

Just a minor thing but our fan in our room in the lounge and balcony part didn't go up any speeds other than 1.

Pros:

The location suited us, it’s not the closest resort to the heart of port Douglas. It had excellent access to the beach. The design and layout of the property was great.

Cons:

The resort is a 4 Star property? This was not reflected in the experience.
The rooms were not clean, and were tired. The bathroom had long term mould which had not been attended to. The courtyard had not been cleaned with thick dust and tree debris. The fridge had issues. The cleaning staff had placed tissues in the bottom to collect the water. It operated either wet or frozen.
The room “cleaned” during our stay. This did not include washing glasses?
The tea / coffee was not replaced, we then asked the front desk for replacements.
We had made our booking approximately 3 months prior to our holiday. Our room shared a wall with the renovations, waking us before 8.00 due to the noise, vibration and the dust triggering the smoke alarms. The pool Is excellent, although in a 4 star resort I would have hoped the staff would know to use a drinks tray as appose to a crate to collect glasses and bottle/cans. We have stayed regularly at Mantra resorts and this was very disappointing. I have written an email to management sharing our concerns and have had no acknowledgement.

Great location, friendly staff, overpriced rooms.
Pros:

The location is great and the lagoon bar is very refreshing.
They had an agreement with a local shuttle service which was amazing value for money.

Cons:

Our room was not the same as advertised on booking.com- we booked a standard hotel room and the photos have entertainment units and space and we did not get that. We could not open our curtains because our next door neighbours had a balcony and could see straight into our room.

There was pee or some other yellow liquid down the walls of our bathroom.

And there was construction that we were not told about and ranged from 7:30am to 10am when they started with the heavy machinery.

There was no lift so we had to carry our suitcases upstairs.
