The place is beautiful, it's alright for what you pay.
The breakfast was a bit sad.
loved the location, pool and room
I know it's still the "wet" season but most of the cupboards in the kitchen that are not used a lot did smell musty which made the room in general smell. even if they have not been used they still need a clean out with some sort of refresher to help with the mold smell.
There is quite a bit of clutter down near the laundry room
Family resort and a comfortable stay.
Location
Room given was not renovated as per photos on booking
And had mould in the bathrooms
Just didn't feel clean until they moved us to a newer room
Pool area needs some tiles replaced
The studio hotel rooms are very small. Felt very claustrophobic
In its day the property was most likely the place to stay but that time has gone.
It hasn’t been looked after for some time.
The coffee machine at breakfast was broken the entire time, the handle of our shower door stayed on the floor, the tennis court was black and water logged.
Just to name couple of things.
The place has been let go.
The hotel location had free parking under the hotel which was great as we used our car frequently to come and go to the Town. Continental breakfast came with the room. The swimming pool is located in the centre/ rear of the hotel and is ideal for families with small children
Our room was not in an ideal location with no view and I had wished I had booked a room with a view as there are rooms available with a view. No teaspoons in the room and we had to use wooden spoons as house keeping had left for the day. A reminder to guests that it is not cost effective for this hotel to accept cash so credit cards have to be used.
The staff were very accommodating and helpful.
I liked the location
Unfortunately both nights I stayed and alarm went off first night at 630am. It was so loud it shook me out of bed.
The following morning the alarm went off at 4.30am. It was horrific, quite scary. Sadly it didn't even get acknowledged by the staff.
The pool was okay, dated but it was still nice but the cocktails at the bar were not nice at all and we were treated poorly by the bar staff who took 25 minutes to mix a cocktail (there were not many people ordering drinks) so we got 1 drink in happy hour while the bartender took selfies with a friend who dropped by for a chat.
Cleanliness of the room was also not very good, lots of dust under the beds.
The location and resort pool
The bedrooms were dirty, spiderwebs with spiders in corners . The back pool never seemed to get cleaned. The bathroom especially the shower had mould . The pull down blinds were dirty , mouldy ? There was not much to the breakfast , glad we never paid extra for this. We have stayed here previously with no problems, sadly we bought family from overseas with us who were as excited as us to stay here. Their room was the same as ours it was quite embarrassing for us .
The location.
The breakfast.
The swimming pool.
Probably, the ground floor rooms are more insects and reptiles prone.
Toilet could be cleaner.
Good value hotel. Not too far from centre, just a 15 min walk. Lots of features to this place. Would be fine for families too. Pool space is extensive. Rooms are nicely furnished and well kept. Staff were very nice and helpful. Highly recommend will come back here.
It was clean and tidy and easily accessible and most staff went out of their way to help
The pool bar staff member was not very nice at all.
Feels more like a motel than a Mantra hotel.
Room was small and smelled mouldy, we were refused an upgrade even though the place was clearly not very full. Swim up bar was unmanned until half way through happy hour.. minimal staff and tey all looked over worked.
Visited the Mantra as part of my Australian journey, and the service was on the same level as a 5 star hotel.
We had an amazing time with friends, and loved the room and the pool. The service was fantastic.
Absolutely wonderful service, clean rooms and great pool. We will definitely be back
