This has been our worst stay ever. Im not even sure where to start.
1. The hotel had an event on the rooftop and the music and loud guests kept us up all night. This after I confirmed that there would be no events.
2. On Thursday, 2 days before our stay, I received an email informing me that there would be an event starting at 6pm.
3. We arrived at 3pm and was told that the rooftop bar (the main attraction for me) is out of bounds. After showing the staff the email indicating the 6pm start they agreed that we could use the facility until 6pm.
4. We had 1 drink and was told to please leave as the host of the party decided to start earlier. We felt extremely offended.
5. The only thing left to look forward to was breakfast. Needless to say that that was just the cherry on top of the bad experience.
6. My wife ordered well done scrambled eggs which arrived as jelly. The meal was returned.
7. I received a meal I did not order and had to wait another 30 minutes for the correct order.
8. When my meal arrived I took a bite into a raw/undercooked english muffin. I returned the entire meal and was not prepared to stay at your hotel a minute longer.
9. The manager apologised with a bottle of wine but by that time the damage was irreparable.
This hotel is a party venue with accommodation and NOT a hotel. The staffs focus also seems to be on managing unruly party goers and not on other aspects like their restaurant.
The location is terrific for Cape Town's night life.
The roof top bar was closed due to a private function.
It's a beautiful place to live
Comfort, hospitality and uniqueness
nice rooms
food is really below the standard you would expect aswell in the roofbar as in the restaurant
Everyting.
We always stay there when in Cape Town

.Here is a more professional and polished version of your review:
We had a wonderful stay at the Grand Daddy Hotel, which fully met our expectations of a boutique hotel experience. While it can be slightly noisy at times, this contributes to the vibrant and enjoyable atmosphere.
The hotel is well located for a CBD property, surrounded by numerous bars and offering a lively environment. Our room was very comfortable, with thoughtful touches such as a daily bottle of water and, on one occasion, a complimentary bottle of wine.
The only drawback was the parking arrangement. Our vehicle was moved to a nearby multi-storey car park, and as we did not use it for two days, we incurred an unexpected charge of R$240.
Overall, we would recommend the hotel and would happily stay there again.

Such a great trip to Cape Town, incredibly friendly and helpful staff. Rooms were well appointed, clean and spacious.
Personeel en de entourage en een super groot uitstekend bed
Best veel lawaai van buiten
We stayed here for a family holiday and from the minute we arrived we felt so welcome - we could not enter our rooms as we had arrived early - not a problem, we knew this to be the case.
The staff here are fabulous, Michelle in particular, the staff in the restaurant and reception. They looked after us so well...every day. My father has some mobility issues and they did everything they could to make his stay comfortable.
The rooms are beautiful, they look fab on the photos and they are in real life too. Spacious, beautiful designs and although a teeny bit tired nothing to complain about.
We loved our stay, I wish I could remember everyone's names - you will not regret staying here.
There were celebrations going on but in general the hotel ensured the noise ended around 9pm so guests could relax at night time.
The staff work very hard and remain kind, helpful and friendly. We did feel like family, thank you to the amazing team at the Grand Daddy!!! We would love to visit again!
The hotel is well located to be able to access a lot of the surrounding touristy things to do. It's pretty much on the red bus hop on and off tour as well which is handy. The bathroom was clean and the staff towards the end of our stay were very helpful.
The location does feel a little sketchy at points, with sex workers opposite. It's the centre of a big city so partly to be expected. The staff on the first day weren't particularly welcoming, which for a four star hotel wasn't what I was expecting. The hotel rooms feel very dated and could be improved. We were on the third floor at the back of the hotel and given the other reviews re. Noise I'm pleased we were. There weren't any events while we were there but it's something to be aware of.
To be honest not anything.
Handling of issues was pathetic, room dissapointed as well as food
Our issue was not handled and the management staff pretended they had no options to help us even though they could as weve had a similar situation and it was handled professionally- here not so much.
The hotel was so greasy for R300 they lost clients a d we will never return nor suggest the hotel to anyone.
Rooms do not look like pictures anymore they are dated and needs updating. Bathroom had mould in it and needs updating. Carpet was not clean
Breakfast was not good enough for the price. No idea where they get the badge exceptional. We informed we were vegan and vegetarian. Had one option which was a piece of toast with avocado on it. No other choice as a vegan. Even though I do not like avocado thats my option. Avocado tasted soapy.
Vegeterian adoptions also extremely limited. Only the toast and avocado and some yogurt and muesli. Scones and pastries were so hard you could not eat it. Definitely few days old.
Whole place looks dated and not a sin the pictures. Furniture in rooms looks 20 years old
Staff handling the request was really pathetic and we feel cheated. We stay at 100s of hotels per year for work and the situation made that we feel its one of the worst experiences we've had with management due to the way they handled a simple request to cancel and rebook.
They gave us an upgrade due to our issue which was a late checkout and a 4square meter larger room however the room looks exactly same as the one we booked just 4square meter bigger. That was not the issue. The late checkout and upgraded room is not the issue the issue was the price etc.
