Fireplace was super finicky. Needs to be a switch on the wall. But ok once we figured it out. Otherwise no issues at all.

Unfortunately, we had a room next to the restaurant and you could hear the music and some conversation from the restaurant. We did raise this with the staff who were apologetic.

There are two fireplaces in the suite ... one in the sitting area and one in the bedroom. The glass doors wrre actually warm to the touch because they eere rmthrowing off so much heat. The weather was also very warm and so it became exceptionally hot in the room. The air-conditioning in the bedroom was super loud and had trouble cooling the space. So, we had to open the patio doors to help cool things. The sitting area only had a fan. We had to open the front door. We finally turned the pilot off in the fireplaces. We were told that this should not have been done because it could cause gas released into the room. If such a health hazard is probable, they should post it on the fireplace not to turn it off.

Donc si on ne prévoit des masques de sommeils, la nuit si on dort dans la partie haute on a les lumières de la rue, et le matin on est réveillé par la lumière naturelle du jour dès 6h-7h (qu'on dorme en haut ou en bas).

C'est le seul petit bémol, sinon RAS.

Heater couldn't be turned off so sweltering at night. Very few eating places in the area in October, had to wait an hour to get a table.

We specifically booked the "romantic suite" as we were celebrating our 35th anniversary. When we arrived, we were told that the jacuzzi tub in the room wasn't working and there were no similar rooms available, so they would give us a discount. When we saw the final bill, we noticed that we only received a $30 credit (on a bill that was over $230). When we inquired about the credit, the front desk clerk was quite rude and told us that ordinarily there were no credits and the jacuzzi tub wasn't that significant. It was such a derogatory interaction that, despite how lovely the room was otherwise, we will NEVER stay there again and will caution others about staying there due to the extremely rude attitude of the clerk. Very poor business sense.

Bruit de la chambre d'à côté (jeunes enfants) entendus très tôt. Il pourrait y avoir un peu de vaisselle dans la chambre (assiettes, verres, ustensiles).

Room location

The bed was too high with a huge mattress on a very high base. I had problems getting on and off

We also had to leave the aircon running as the rooms get really warm due to the fireplaces that need to be left running 24/7 due to the gas set up. It’s at the lowest setting but still gets the room quite warm over time. Wasn’t an issue once we had the aircon running.

The environmental controls in the room. If you turn on the fireplace the heat automatically goes on to a certain temperature.
Staff was not at the front desk most times were needed something. They came back eventually but we waited a period of time.
Our view was a back alley.
