The stay was very good and on the Saturday we went over the moors to Whitby which is scenic
Pros:

Food was first class and have as much as you wanted, even a sausage for the dog, Staff were very good and helpful.
The draft beer is very good. Plenty of options to take the dog for a walk. Will come again next year

Excellent stay in a very special location.
Pros:

Very friendly staff, Breakfast was excellent as was the food in the Bar/Restaurant. The room was very comfortable and cleaned to a high standard. Plenty of parking and in a superb location. I will be returning at the next opportunity.

Cons:

The only criticism was the lack of communication. I had some questions prior to my arrival and tried emailing them, that did not work. I then left messages on their telephone three times and did not receive any replies.

Just the one night, but thoroughly enjoyable stay in a great location.
Pros:

Amazing location , staff were 10/10 . We arrived quite late , after 8 pm, and despite the staff being busy we received such a warm and friendly welcome, very personable and much appreciated.

Cons:

The plumbing was quite noisy when other residents, I assume close to our room, were maybe running water. It was a minor short term issue and far from the end of the world, I would guess unavoidable in a property this age..

Good friendly staff who were pleasant and always happy to help.

Cons:

Room was cold and quite basic. Even after reporting heating issues no improvement .

Exceptional
Pros:

What isn’t to like, one of a kind view outside, the pub is lovely and has a cosy feel to it, the rooms are well equipped, beds are comfy. The food is exceptional and the pints are reasonably priced, clean glasses. The staff, what can I say, they are amazing, friendly, kind and easy to have a chat and a laugh with.

Cons:

Leaving, didn’t want to leave.

Lovely stay wish it was longer. As we drove away we saw a red deer and a large hare. Relaxing beautiful setting.
