Pros:

Conveniently located right across the road from Queensgate Shopping Centre.
The reception staff are super friendly.

Cons:

Hallways smelt strange, couldn't place what it was, just not a "usual" smell for a hotel.

Pleasant
Pros:

Close to the mall and very central. Regular housekeeping. Staff are friendly and accommodating. Rooms are spacious and clean.

Cons:

Pillows were to soft that you just sink into them. Pretty old place but still well maintained. Curtains probably need some updating- pretty bright once the sun is out. No air conditioning but they provide a heater and a fan but the fan I had was pretty dusty. Need more outlets. Only had 1 outlet by the bedside.

Pros:

Location in the Lower Hutt center. But not for Wellington if you have to drive in or out during peak hours. Nice big old fashioned room. Parking on site.

Cons:

The carpet. In the room and specially in the corridor. Need more cleaning.

Pros:

We'd stayed here on the way up,stayed again on way back,reception man remembered even our car rego,very clever. We asked about eating in resteraunt and was given 2 $15 vouchers. Definitely stay again.

Ok for a single overnight stay before catching the ferry

The corridors smell like decades of stale smoke and the bathroom was just odd.

Pros:

Very central to centre. Good breakfast. Staff were lovely. Place is tired and could do with a refurbishment but it was OK.

Cons:

We asked for a cot in the room, but didn't expect to be put on 1st floor and no lift. Would have assumed that if you needed a cot, you would probably have a child to carry, plus more luggage than normal including a pram and/or car seat.

And usual lack of decent lighting that hotel rooms insist on forcing on guests.
