Exceptionally located and friendly hotel right on the river walkway. A beautiful stroll to many outdoor eateries just few scenic steps away. Hotel included breakfast was outstanding.

A big shoutout to the night desk clerks who were the recipients of my 12 hour time difference correspondence. My e-mails were answered within hours! In every other hotel, the e-mails were answered in two days. No complaints really, but the Hotel Koenig was above and beyong.

Would love to return any time.

This hotel was convenient and charming. The room was perfect and loved the eclectic decor. The breakfast was amazing but then it's Europe.

We chose the König because of its excellent location, by the river Danube and in the old town. Absolutely thrilled with our choice, a traditional, characterful and warm hotel. Our room overlooked the river and felt homely and inviting. The bed was very comfortable and all amenities provided. Everywhere was spotlessly clean. Breakfast caters for a good range of tastes and food is fresh and well presented. The reception staff were very helpful in obtaining taxis and assisting in the case of a lost passport. Passau itself is a beautiful little town, full of atmosphere and a joy to visit.

If you arrive by car make sure you also reserve a parking spot it is in the basement. Elevator goes from garage to room. Easy to transport your luggage. Fabulous breakfast. You can take a boat from across the hotel to Vienna Melk and Linz . Super convenient

das Hotel liegt wirklich direkt im Inselstadtbereich am Wasser, an den Schiffsanlegestellen, ist sehr gepflegt und urig; Parkhaus mit großem Auto etwas umständlich, da sehr eng; uns hat es sehr gut gefallen

We have stayed at the Hotel Koenig several times and enjoy the atmosphere around the river. The breakfast buffet is good, mattresses are firmer than we prefer, but will most likely return in the future.

A very pleasant hotel! The staff were gracious and welcoming. The breakfast buffet was enormous. And best of all was the location - the hotel opens right out onto the old city. Sightseeing is within easy walking distance.

Well appointed and clean hotel. The beds were firm but not hard. There was a very nice breakfast included in the room price. It is right on the Danube, an excellent place to stay.

Very close to old town, Danube, and train station. Complimentary breakfast was very nice.

Incredibly location. Access to the street/river level and also access to the upper street level by elevator. Within walking distance of everything we wanted to see.

The hotel has an excellent location right next to the city center. Our room was recently renovated and spotlessly clean. The lady at the check-in was superfriendly.

The hotel has a parking garage, but it is not guarded - it was wide open when we arrived at night; and it was wide open when we left in the evening. The hotel also had no staff at hand at 6am, so we actually couldn’t check-out. Nobody answered knocking on the door or ringing the bell (even though according to the receptionist, the night guard and the restaurant staff should have been at hand).

From the staff member that checked me in to the staff at breakfast and the staff member who checked me out of my room, they all are so kind and pleasant, always asking if there was anything else they could do for me. Wonderful place, I would definitely stay again.

This little hotel was marvelous. We had one night to stay before a Danube cruise. The location was terrific for exploring the town and for getting on our ship the best day. Perhaps best of all, we told the front desk we were vegan upon check-in and they presented us a lovely basket of vegan breakfast spreads at our table the next morning. A+++ Five stars. 😀

Leider hat das Hotel keine Klimaanlage, bei diesen Temperaturen muss man das Fenster öffnen, damit störte der Straßenlärm enorm.
