The view and the place felt very homie

We just finished a wonderful stay at Collins House Appartments in Melbourne. The check in staff were all very lovely and the General manager Kylee Lowden checked in several times during our stay to see that everyone was good - which it was!
The 1-bed appartment was ideal for our needs as a couple. Lots of space, nice seating area to watch TV, very well equipped kitchen area and also laundry facilities. Our views out of our 32nd floor windows were amazing.
The location is excellent. Right on Collins street which is right in the heart of the action. There is a tram stop just 100m from the hotel so getting around is really easy. In fact Melbourne feels much smaller than you would imagine so almost all the main places in the CDB are easily walkable.
We will definitely stay at Collins House Apartments on future visits to this wonderful city. Just remember it’s an aparthotel rather than a hotel, so there is not an on site bar or restaurant. But that’s not needed when the city with all its fine eating places is just outside the door!
The final thing to mention is what great value we felt we got. The quality of the appartment was very good and the price we paid was way less than many of the city hotels in Melbourne.

Hard to write anything here! The apartment was exactly as described when I booked.
De ligging was zeer goed, op loopafstand van alles wat wij wilden zien. De unit was ruim, voorzien van alles wat we nodig hadden en super schoon! De manager Kylee was het hele verblijf persoonlijk bereikbaarheid voor ons.
Alles was oké!
Wij zouden een veiligheids slot/ketting op de voordeur prettig vinden.
住宿位置極佳,樓下就是兩個電車站。去哪裡都近,甚至步行都可以。電梯只能到你所在的樓層。感覺上安全。房內設施齊全。可煮食可洗衣,非常適合家庭長期住宿。打掃衛生人員很細心。基本清潔沒有問題。報修還算快,用櫃檯號碼送去的訊息感覺沒人在看,要用打電話的方式才行。但有一個總負責人倒是回覆的很快,很貼心。但會讓人有種有問題不知道該找誰的疑惑。
小建議,使用廚房或洗衣機可以放置指示說明,不是每個旅客都會熟練的操作機器。風大時屋內風聲較大。有一間客房沒有冷氣出風口,要共用客廳冷氣。隔板較薄,隔壁吵鬧時較容易聽到。
Perfect and safe location (central + close enough to southern cross station). Amazing city + river view (can see hot air balloons). Has all kitchen utensils for cooking. One staff in particular (stefanie?) was so friendly. Clean and super comfy bed. Can store luggage before and after check in/out. Fast elevators. Would 100% stay again.
Quite cosy, depending on the room you choose. No daily cleaning service for short stays (but we already knew this).

Location was excellent. So close to everything, especially transport and places to eat. The view from the apartment was amazing. The apartment was comfortable and air conditioning was great in Melbourne's heat.
We only had one person staying in the second bedroom. I think it may have been too small for two people.
The view was spectacular and the property was very clean and safe.
I wish there was an espresso or coffee machine in the apartment.

The view and access to transportation
Bottom sheet in main bedroom had a stain.
It was a spacious one-bedroom apartment. It was well fitted out, airy and light, and the staff were friendly and helpful. We noticed a problem with the air conditioner - which was fixed promptly and without question. As we stayed for 7 days, we received a mid-week service of the apartment.
The sofa could have been more comfortable.

we had an issue with the lock and alerted the management to it, however this was not fixed during out stay, resulting in us struggling to open the door whenever we came back to the apartment. After hours, there is no one on site, but there is a night team that you can reach via whatsapp - the response to this was not consistent, and hence it felt unreliable.

We are extremely disappointed with the situation surrounding our room.
Our original accommodation was cancelled two months ago, and after a very stressful search for accomodation for our group, we were genuinely excited to find your property. Given the number of people in our traveling group, options were limited, and we believed your accommodation met our needs.
Prior to arrival, we emailed to confirm that the room we booked matched specific images shown online. You responded confirming that it was indeed the room we would be staying in. However, upon arrival, this was not the case. The room we were given was not the room we had booked, which was incredibly disappointing particularly as we have travelled for a special occasion.
In addition to being given the wrong room, the condition of the room was unacceptable. It was filthy, contained inappropriate stickers on the décor, and had no towels provided. We also do not believe it is reasonable or appropriate for staff to suggest a full refund on the condition that we leave and find alternative accommodation. Given the size of our group and the fact that a large scale event is currently taking place in the city, this is not a realistic or practical solution.
As such, we are formally requesting appropriate compensation for our stay, reflecting both the incorrect room allocation and the poor condition of the accommodation upon arrival.
