Cons:

De lift was heel klein.
Ook het bed was klein , bij het uitchecken werden we geholpen door een medewerker die een soort van Engels sprak maar wij er niks van begrepen

Hôtel 4* Paris 16ème à 320€ la nuitée. Vol, malhonnêteté et escroquerie !!!

Grosse Escroquerie, j’ai réservé et payé une chambre de 33m2 Lit Queen-Size de luxe, on m’a attribué une chambre de 23m2 avec 2 lits de 1 place collés. J’ai visité 3 autres chambres dont 1 de 33m2 qui était occupée par des clients (pour moi c’est inadmissible de faire visiter une chambre qui est occupée), 2 chambres faisait 23m2 et 1 faisait 33m2 j’ai donc demandé une chambre de 33m2 mais ils n’avaient pas de chambre de 33m2 disponibles pour mon séjour, j’ai dû donc accepter une chambre de 23m2 et ce pendant la période des fêtes le 25 décembre 2025 à 20h00 c’était compliqué de trouver un autre hôtel, j’ai donc demandé le remboursement de la différence entre la chambre de 33m2 et celle de 23m2 qui n’est pas négligeable et évidemment Ils ont refusé de me rembourser la différence sous prétexte que ma réservation était non remboursable, ce qui est vraiment honteux !!!
Tous les jours je demandais à rencontrer le responsable pour une solution, il ne s’est jamais présenté, il attendait tout simplement la fin de mon séjour !!!
Par ailleurs, ils coupent le chauffage dans les chambres la journée, donc quand vous rentrez le soir la chambre est glaciale et ce par des temperatures hivernales et glaciales.
État de la chambre médiocre, vasque fissurée, trous et fissures dans les murs, sommier et matelas vétustes, toutes les photos sont réelles avec date et l’heure.
C’est tout simplement malhonnête, du vol et une grosse escroquerie !!!

We'll return to Hotel Duret for sure :-)
Pros:

The room (type Chambre Superieure) was comfortable and exactly what we wanted. Ours had a small/narrow balcony (on the second floor for the rooms 201, 202, 203, 204 etc.?) I think we actually noticed there are no balconies on other floors. There is only 1 Chambre Superieure on each floor.
WLAN secured with a password is available. Daily we received 1 small bottle of mineral water/person free of charge.
The room temperature was quite ok.
The hotel location is very good.

Cons:

The bathroom has an electric radiator. If it was turned off before, it takes min. 20 minutes to heat up = extremely slowly. Upon arrival we fumbled for 3 hours testing all configuration settings for 5 mins each time, and finally gave up. You'd better check with the reception desk, they ordered an electrician next morning, who solved the issue.
Some noise in the street in the morning at some 6 or 7 a.m. due to garbage collection - you must live with it.
We did not make use of the breakfast option at Hotel Duret.
On New Year's Eve (starting some 4 p.m.) be aware that a good number of subway stations (on metro 1, but not only) are off access. Numerous streets are blocked near Arc de Triomphe/Etoile and Champs-Elysees. You have to largely circumvent the area - due to security measures. It was tiring, because a lot of people in the area (Champs-Elysees, Etoile etc.) had to circumvent the area too, which meant small transverse streets became suddenly very crowded. Of course, Hotel Duret has no fault in this situation, on the other hand at 11:45 p.m. we could walk only a short distance (stone's throw) to Boul. Grande Armee (pedestrian area by then), to watch the New Year fireworks.
