Valve on shower would not turn off the water. The front desk clerk was terrific. But it still remains. I pay you you provide a clean shower, a TV, a bed, and some heat. I shouldn't be looking for a water shut off behind the wall.
Nice, clean property good breakfast
Everything!!
Nothing
It was clean, comfortable and had good amenities.
We had a noisy family above us - the kids were running & jumping off beds during the evening and again at 7 AM. Very annoying and disruptive !!!
Location was close to the ski resorts. Clean hotel. The staff were very friendly and super sweet with our kids. father got board games for our group to play at night. Super sweet staff.
Everything was great. All the facilities. The staff was very accommodating
This past Friday night, high winds felled a 60 foot pine across the road from Monterey lake house taking out electricity to the neighborhood. We went to Great Barrington and front desk gave us, for a weather-reduced rate of $179, an impeccably immaculate room (with fridge snd microwave) and a most impressive free breakfast (fresh waffles, plus oatmeal/toppings bar, plus scrambled eggs and bacon and turkey sausage, plus juices and coffee, plus bagels, plus pastries, plus dry cereal) (thank you Anna!) Beautifully staffed with lovely folks, cherry on top was hot tub next to pool (8 am-10 pm) which was deliciously soothing after mishegoss of losing power. In fact, when our electric did not restore on Saturday (rest of neighborhood did) and was not expected until Sunday afternoon, we happily returned for another night in another immaculate room, visit to hot tub, and another delicious breakfast. Vivaldi Pizzarria is walking distance (psst, also delivers) with best NY style thin crust pizza in Berkshires, as are several other restaurants, grocery and specialty stores, shops (Marshall’s, tractor depot, nail salon, dispensaries, bowling alley, antique stores). Small arcade lacked pinball machines but included air hockey table, two racing motorcycle games and claw prize games; small gym is open 24 hours a day. Hospitality was greatly appreciated, and we will be happy to strongly recommend to future lake guests and visitors!!
Close to hiking and restaurants
Loved this hotel. New, comfortable, very friendly staff, good breakfast!
Nothing!
Best hotel stop on our 6 day bus trip. First night on bus trip, stayed here. After stopping at 5 other hotels during the week, stopped back here for last nite before travels back to Ohio. Great to know this hotel is here.
Absolutely the cleanest rooms and friendliest staff, from the owner Dave to the hostess Anne for breakfast. On our 7 day bus tour, we stayed with them twice and enjoyed their hospitality the most of all the other places we stayed. I only gave them a 5 star rating because I couldn't give them a 10. You truly won't be disappointed staying here. Thanks for such a great place to stay.
