Just the best place to stay for an anniversary or for anything else, but it is quite expensive.
Pros:

Just a must heated place for respite and comfort. Love the accommodations and all the interesting furnishings and we had a view. Just loved it.

Cons:

The parking was interesting and the lock system on the front door with the code beat me once or twice.

Cons:

Camera non troppo pulita, probabilmente è una sensazione data dalla vecchiaia degli arredi presenti, mai sostituiti negli anni (esempio il materasso molto vecchio e l’armadio avevano un cattivo odore di polvere e sporco). Mancanza di servizi essenziali tipo il phon (é presente, ma anch’esso è davvero datato quindi quasi pericoloso da utilizzare) e l’illuminazione (prive di interruttori e salvavita, quindi occorre staccare direttamente la spina dalla presa per poterle spegnere, cosa che trovo pericolosa)

Sadly, this was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve had in the United States, and I’ve visited the U.S. around 10 times.

From the moment we arrived at around 8:00 p.m., the experience was extremely unpleasant. The manager, Abdul, was by far the most unfriendly hotel manager I’ve ever encountered. Instead of welcoming us after a long drive with two small children, he immediately and aggressively focused on the fact that our kids were not registered and insisted on charging us extra, with no empathy or willingness to help.

The hotel has a steep access, yet no one offered to help us unload our luggage after a long day of traveling. Throughout the interaction, Abdul was nonchalant, unprofessional, unnecessarily confrontational, and made inappropriate comments that were completely uncalled for. His attitude created such a negative atmosphere that it completely overshadowed the property itself.

In the end, we decided we would rather leave and find another hotel, even though it was already nighttime and meant driving again with two very young children. That says everything about how uncomfortable and unwelcome we felt.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience was truly unacceptable. Hospitality starts with treating guests with respect, and unfortunately, that was completely missing here. I cannot recommend this hotel based on the way we were treated.

We love this B&B. Walking distance to ocean, Cannery Row and downtown Pacific Grove.
Pros:

Everything. Our room had a partial ocean view and garden view, with a claw foot tub/shower, fireplace and antique furniture. The dining room overlooks a spectacular ocean view. Breakfast is made fresh each morning and is delicious. Their staff is cheerful and very personable.
