The location was great even though there was construction work underway across the road.
Staff were very pleasant and helpful, although our check-in at the Huntingdon took a good while as the girl seemed rather stressed.
The layout in the bedroom meant you couldn't watch TV in bed.
It's rather strange having an afternoon tea like breakfast. Would have much preferred cereal/toast.
No headboard on the bed!!
We received a friendly welcome and appreciated the sparkling wine on arrival. Beautiful sheets, some of the best ever. We loved our balcony off the suite. Good setup for in room tea/coffee (although filling the electric kettle was a challenge in the bathroom) and we appreciated the little refrigerator. Nice breakfast. The overall historic character of the building. Close to many visitor sites and walking paths.
The furnishings/building were a bit shabby around the edges. The friendly desk clerk only worked a few hours in the afternoon. We were not informed of ongoing construction on the street until just before our arrival. The breakfast staff seemed a bit jaded and I felt the hotel guests were treated as second rate, while the public guests got the best seats. The restaurant that provides breakfast is a separate business. Furnishings seemed a little tacky. A few lovely antiques, the rest was filled in with Goodwill/Ross decor. Funny little child sized sofa in our room. The dining room bookshelves were filled with decades old world book encyclopedias. It detracted from the historic character. The garden seems to need a bit of TLC.
Ottima colazione!
Always a great experience. Exceptional staff. Amazing tea and historic place.
Make it clear that the booking is in the other property. I believed it was in the main Pendray Inn. This was explained away and I wasn't too impressed with that explanation.
Beautiful old building in great location.
The included breakfast is amazing.
Beautiful Victorian home, tea service and breakfast was excellent, comfy beds, grest location!
We love historic homes, so no downsides.
The old english pension style
There are massive constructions just in front of the hotel , starting at 3 am , we were given ear plugs . No info about it before coming . No special price …
The breakfast was fabulous. The house is very charming, service was excellent
Facilities, room quality, service, breakfast, historical location next to ferry and downtown. Everything was world class.
Construction in front
On new ferry treminal building. Noisy and dirty.
Einfach alles war toll, war für eine Atmosphäre
Nichts
Breakfast was exceptional. The staff is outstanding. I cannot tell you how much I really enjoy the Pendray. It's my favorite place to stay in Victoria.
We were racing in the Tour de Victoria and having a more dedicated and safe bike storage area (similar to some of your competitors) would be great. It's a bit of a hassle having to go the Huntington to deal with this.
Hele vriendelijke host.

I loved the value of the room, the fact that our lovely breakfasts were included, the location of the room, the beauty and view from our room (top level of the Queen Anne tower), our welcome sparkling wine glasses and chocolates, how nice the staff were.
Lack of air conditioning (prior guests must've had windows open, as we ended up sharing the room with a mosquito, wasp and lady bug). Also, the 4 am start of construction outside during our 2nd night? That should've never happened! I know it's out of Pendray's control, but I'm sure a lot of people were upset by that experience. I couldn't fall back asleep from the loud banging!
