Great experience, we’ll definitely stay here again.
Pros:

We loved the history in this place. The photos, furniture and various artifacts were so interesting made the experience really unique. We also loved the tiered breakfasts. What a great experience!

Cons:

The bed wasn’t super comfortable, rather hard. And the pillows squished down to almost nothing.

Pros:

Breakfast was excellent!

Cons:

We missed any construction outside as we were there Sunday to holiday Monday, but I didn’t know of it until after purchasing—maybe listing it more clearly and immediately as popup on main site would help warn others?

Lots of quaint charm, great breakfast, good central location.
Pros:

Beautiful historic home with lots of character
Location would be excellent except for the major construction work on the harbour front right across the road

Cons:

I appreciated the quaint charm, I found it felt a bit tired and could use a freshening up (but i will note that it was very clean so no issue there).

Disapointing
Pros:

Breakfast was wonderful.

Cons:

I booked a room (reserved in Feb) with a shower and given a room on the top floor with no shower. The receptionist / host was unaware that the room did not have a shower which we thought was very odd that he was ignorant about the room. He tried hard to find another but none available in the inn. He did find a room in the other building but we declined because it was too much trouble.

Nice weekend away
Pros:

Location and vintage accommodation was very good

Cons:

The hotel is showing its age. The grounds and 3xterior are in need of maintenance. The room had only a bathtub, no shower.

Good Location-Inexpensive-Just OK Overall
Pros:

This hotel does have some high points. It is located right across the street from either the Black Ball Ferry or the Victoria Clipper. If you are traveling to Victoria by boat and you do not have a car it's easy to get off the ferry and walk to the hotel. The hotel itself on the outside is just as pretty as the website pictures. And it is surrounded by a very pleasant and well manicured garden. The morning breakfast which is included in the price of the room is truly exceptional. Since this is an old Victorian era house is furnished with that type of furniture and the tea sets and china that make it appropriate for the period. A white tablecloth breakfast with a proper T service and great food which is included in the price of the room is certainly a bonus. We had a king size bed which was comfortable. We were in Victoria for less than 24 hours with no car and so this was perfect in terms of location and it was also the lowest price accommodation in the Inner Harbor. I was pleased with the value for the money. The check in was smooth and we were expected. They provided a cup of tea and a nice welcome drink when we arrived. They are clearly making a bit of an effort to be an upscale property.

Cons:

There were some things that I did not like and some other items that a traveler should be aware of. First and most importantly there is a giant industrial construction process happening just across the street. They are rebuilding the ferry terminal and this looks like it could be a multi year project. The street is partially closed and there are many pieces of heavy construction equipment working during daytime hours. As such it is not pleasant to spend A great deal of time outside and there are no views. We were on a 3rd floor room and there there's no elevator. We were aware of this and our fitness level is such that this is not a problem, But for a traveler with mobility issues a steep staircase with luggage would definitely not work. The ceiling design of our room takes on the shape of the outside of Victorian building. In other words our room had sloping walls and sloping ceilings to accommodate the exterior Victorian architecture of the building. There was one window facing east so it was not particularly well lighted. There was no shower in our room. There was a tub with a hand held shower. Sitting down and washing yourself is not particularly difficult it's just not my preference. It also must be extremely difficult keep up a 200 year old Victorian building. It is a bit worn. But the pricing was good and for our particular experience it was fine. Knowing what I now know if I were staying multiple days I would probably stay elsewhere.

Amazing and interesting stay at Pendray in the inner harbour
Pros:

The whole facility is amazing, from the room at the top overlooking the inner harbour to the front desk staff who greeted us and helped us take our luggage upstairs, the staff in the breakfast room and the absolutely delicious breakfast. We had a great time and plan on making this an annual retreat. Can't say enough about the experience, it was wonderful.

Pendray house is a lovely building and the breakfast is fantastic.
Pros:

The breakfast was remarkable and the restaurant decor beautiful. The staff was lovely.

Cons:

Our room smelled like cigarette smoke when we arrived and though the staff promptly addressed it with spray and an air cleaner, the smell reappeared throughout our stay. Old building I suppose.
