Great location and a nice hotel but the STAFF needs more training to be helpful to guests.
Pros:

The location was great. We were in town for a few days to visit family and needed a hotel close by since my niece now has 2 cats and my daughter is highly allergic so we couldn't stay with them. This location was close to groceries and some amenities that we needed during our visit. The breakfast selection was plentiful and fantastic and the woman serving was pleasant and helpful!

Cons:

They were replacing sidewalks blocking the front entrance. My daughter is handicapped and doesn't walk well and uses a wheelchair when she's tired. Trying to navigate the side entrance was nearly impossible with her wheelchair. At one point, when I was struggling to get her out the door, a young staff member WATCHED me struggling with her wheelchair and the heavy door and MADE NO ATTEMPT TO HELP. When we returned to the hotel that night, we again had to navigate that door with NO HELP. I commented to the front desk staff and he had zero reaction. PLUS, the bathroom has all the toiletries in dispensers on the wall. I was out of my personal travel shampoo and was happy to use theirs BUT it was COMPLETELY EMPTY. And, we had plenty of hand towels and washcloths but only 1 bath towel for two people. I called the front desk and it took nearly 30 minutes to get another. I think they need to reconsider their staffing.

Good Value and Close in Proximity to Local Restaurants!
Pros:

The seasonal flavor waffle to celebrate Memorial Weekend. Have visited the facility two years ago and noticed the upgrade to the rooms.

Cons:

Noticed in the evening hotel does not refill the complimentary hot water and coffee in the lobby.

Best dog friendly place to stay in Oneonta
Pros:

This hotel is amazing. Stayed here in 2025, I forgot the room we had but definetly king bed, this time around (June 19-21, 2026) we stayed in room 221. Loved this room, very clean had a mini kitchen area but not a full fridge which is ok. The bathroom has a standalone shower and a tub which a separated. Dog friendly hotel which is always a plus. We enjoyed our stay, staff was amazing, normal continental breakfast. Will continue to book here as long as they stay open. Oh I forgot to mention, about 10 minutes from shopping area and restaurants.

Perfect location and clean.
Pros:

Great place! Clean and safe inside and out. Location is perfect. Morning breakfast, pool and small arcade. Friendly welcoming staff! Clean. Our AC made some noise, but nothing to grunt about.

More than satisfactory.
Pros:

In comparison with another Hampton we have stayed at in the US, our room was very "fresh", whereas in the other location we felt that the room was very "tired".

Cons:

We have stayed in Hampton Inns elsewhere, and always feel that the breakfast is a little bit "modest".
