Definitely worth the stay. Check the weather before you go though! 85 in NY can mean 40 in MI!
Pros:

Perfect location! It was a little cooler when we visited so we didn't get to walk as much as we could have but the town is very walkable with the shops and ferry about a 7-10 minute trek. We drove down to the Dixie Saloon for dinner and hit one of the shops for some sweatshirts. Great food and atmosphere at the Dixie Saloon! Including live music and popcorn. The Macinaw Bridge is super cool and definitely a must while you're there. The second day, we took the ferry over to Macinaw Island. If you've never been, do your research first! We didn't and missed out. The island is like going back in time, only bikes and horse driven carriages. There are shops, golf, forts and great restaurants. You can also stay on the island. We did have a great meal before leaving but we should have planned on staying longer. The staff at the hotel is very friendly and accommodating. Hotel is clean and welcoming. Absolutely worth the stay!

Cons:

They don't provide shampoo and conditioner like most hotels do which is fine because I use my own but there wasn't any place to put the shampoo/conditioner or soap inside the shower. We had to set it on the hot tub ledge next to the shower. The shower was also pretty 'used' in that the floor should probably be refinished or replaced. Definitely need to wear shower shoes.

Everyone of the employees we met was very friendly and professional. Nice breakfast and comfortable accommodations.

Cons:

The drain in the tub drained slow and the light in the bathroom flickered. Told a desk attendant.
The doors stay unlocked. Lack of security made us uncomfortable. Anyone could walk in. They could even walk upstairs for a free breakfast.

It was good location.
Pros:

Have to change a room immediately as they didn't clean freeze from the earlier traveler, leftovers still were there in the freez also bathroom exhaust fan was not working.

Cons:

They are not providing a microwave in the room.

The beds in my room were horrible/ super uncomfortable and hard.
I had family there as well and the beds I. Their rooms were not the same crappy beds that I had.
