Still funky and quaint, but not quite what it used to be.
Pros:

I’ve been coming here for decades. Property retains much of its historic charm. Love the hot tub and the 20th c ambience.

Cons:

New management has done away with the great breakfast. Room needed minor repairs. Also…orange indoor/outdoor carpet??!!

First experience was okay.
Pros:

Close to my work , it was very different, but good. Historical vibe which was nice, cozy and quiet for the busy street it was off.

Cons:

I was expecting my own little cottage the photos looked like a separate cottage. The parking is narrow, my room door was propped open when I approached to open the door, which made me uneasy, but room was okay.

Renee is exceptional, but the place is overpriced and overrated.
Pros:

Renee is the only genuinely good thing about this place. She’s an angel, could not be more lovely, helpful and gracious if she tried. Wasted there! However, the same cannot be said for the so-called “supervisor”, who chose to be an obnoxious and vile little madam to myself when simply asking why we hadn’t be given the room we booked (as advertised, selected and paid for on booking.com), and a poor guy who dared ask about the pool closure. Seemingly she was “having a bad day”. We all get those, but some of us can still make the conscious choice to conduct ourselves in a calm, professional and mannerly fashion. Photos look great online but honestly, it’s massively overrated, dated, shabby and pretentious. Not worth the money or the hype.

Cons:

Supervisor is a disgrace, and badly needs a lesson in etiquette and put on a customer service training course. Perhaps meditation would prove beneficial also.

Wonderful stay with amazing staff, great food, and a perfect location—highly recommended!
Pros:

We had an amazing stay at El Rey Court. The location was perfect for exploring Santa Fe, and the room was comfortable, practical, and well designed. The staff was absolutely wonderful—everyone was kind, welcoming, and always happy to help. We also really enjoyed the food, which was delicious and generous. Overall, the atmosphere of the hotel made our trip even more special.

Cons:

Overall, we had a great experience, but there were a few minor things. During our six-night stay, our room was never serviced, so we weren’t sure if housekeeping was only provided at the end of the stay. It would have been nice to have fresh towels or a quick room refresh at least once.

The pool and spa area were lovely, but occasionally there were leaves floating in the water. A quick skim from time to time would make the experience even better.

At the restaurant, the food was excellent, but there were a few inconsistencies. We ordered the same cheeseburger twice on different occasions and received slightly different versions each time, which caused some confusion about what was included.

Beautiful hotel that is a good value with great amenities
Pros:

We loved the pool and the location. The bar had some of the best cocktails we’ve ever had- enjoyed the live music and the food truck. Our room was very comfortable. The property itself was very beautiful and we didn’t even want to leave.

Cons:

El Rey made it Good.
Pros:

We didn't get the room we requested. And we had some TV issues, water leaks. But ElRey made it good and moved us into our requested room, fixed our leaks and restore TV, quickly. The desk and maintance handled each of our concerns quickly and efficiently and we received discount. And our stay was accominadating.

Community, music, comfy, beautiful decor and grounds. What I need and love about traveling!
Pros:

El Rey was a dream. Super chill, food truck was great, fire pit, music, all of it was great! Last minute and less than a 12 hr stay, and it was so much fun! I will do it again and spend more time enjoying poolside and community ♡

Happy little discovery in El Rey!
Pros:

Very big room and comfortable. The decor is great, the grounds are spectacular! The community vibe, music, fireplace, food teuck, all of it left me with pure joy!

Cons:

Smelled pretty musty when I arrived, but... I did book it late and they did have a room available. Just cranked on some air and opened the screen door and problem fixed. That does not supercede how great the property shines!
