Nice little gem that’s well appointed with a cool crowd
The room next door kept their TV turned up all night. So my sleep wasn’t as great as the accommodations and bed begged.
Good location to downtown Santa Fe, the bar was very pretty.
Unclean amenities, dated rooms, lack of hot water.
This is a beautiful and historic motel. I found it very relaxing and comfortable. The lobby and bar are both great places to have your morning coffee and relax. The mezcal bar is great and sometimes you can catch some live music.
The motel has been updated, but they only did an okay job. There was paint peeling from our walls and paint on the fixtures in the bathroom. You can tell the rooms were updated quickly. The rooms also have carpet and ours smelled a little weird.
Second time we've stayed. It's a good location and good value. They often have live music at the bar, which serves a nice margarita.
The main road can be a little noisy, so try to get a room toward the back of the complex.
Hot tub
Towels, pillows, smell of the room, bathroom, value
The decor. The vibe. The many cozy corners to sit outside and pathways to explore. Having a food truck that served breakfast and late dinners right outside my door. The bar onsite that had a different event every night. The large hot tub with fireplace open to the stars. The pool looked super cute but wasn’t open yet for the season when I was there. The staff were all lovely. I am so glad I chose to stay here!
Nothing honestly. But I would just note that for someone who is looking for a walkable area, this might not be the greatest option. However, I had my car and was thankful that allowed me to stay at a place like this and still get into other areas easily.
Nothing
Extremely disappointing stay, especially for a $300+ nightly rate.
The rooms we were given did not match what we booked online, which staff acknowledged, explaining that the listings don’t always reflect the actual rooms. Huh?
The rooms were noticeably rundown and had strong chemical/bleach odors, which staff were already aware of and booked us to stay into anyways. Such a health hazard.
Cleanliness and maintenance were major issues. The bathroom had visible hair, odor, cracked tiles, peeling caulk, and black mold. The shower would not drain even after maintenance came twice, and the water (in the one shower I attempted to take) repeatedly turned from scalding hot to ice cold. Housekeeping did not remove trash or provide fresh towels.
While staff attempted fixes, the issues remained unresolved. After checkout, management was dismissive and declined to take responsibility beyond a partial refund, stating the matter was “resolved.” Offensive and unprofessional to say the least.
For this price point, accurate room representation, cleanliness, and functioning plumbing should be base line. This property fell far below that standard. I would strongly recommend staying elsewhere as this hotel is not as advertised.
Funky little place and it was fabulous to have an actual wood burning fireplace in my room. Loved the bar/lounge. Heather is great! My dog and I gad a great time.
Nothing
Accueil, attention du personnel, offer de services, ambiance (bar & lobby), propreté
Un peu éloigné du centre (pas vraiment anticipé comme cela) car pas de navette gratuite pour aller au centre de Santa Fe à cette époque de l’année .
I like the modern design.
I didn’t like that the toilet kept clogging every time I used it, and that the fridge was so loud I had to unplug it in order to sleep, and that the front desk clerk couldn’t find my reservation and told me it had been cancelled and then spent 25 minutes looking for it and never apologized for the delay or the mistake.
The rooms were very cozy and the New Year’s Eve party was awesome
The walls were very thin
I love the vibe at this place and chose it so that I could be centrally located at a place where I could have folks come by for coffee or a cocktail. Also because it's pet friendly. Important to remember that this is very much a popular and busy roadside motel. Take earplugs and possibly an eye covering.
I booked for 2 nights and the room that I was given was not the same as the one that I booked. It was smaller with a different layout than in the photos and that I selected on this platform. Additionally, the room had an overwhelmingly strong smell of chlorine - so much that it made me cough and my eyes were burning. The walls were paper thin, and I could hear the water flowing and flushing from other rooms + neighbors talking + noise from their television. The biggest issue was the light coming from the courtyard! I was able to close the partially broken blinds, but there is clear pane glass at the top of the door that can not be covered, with light going straight towards the bed. Overall, it was like trying to sleep at a bus station. Super disappointing especially for a stay that was over $300/night. (See photo.) The hotel did arrange for me to change rooms the following day which I very much appreciate. (See 2nd photo w pups. :-))
The property has plenty of parking & was clean with simple decor.
I didn’t realize there was a room above ours and I am a light sleeper so had to put in headphones.
Loved the room and atmosphere here! And the amenities are amazing. The food is good! And the staffs are very welcoming! Recommend it to everyone!
Nice historic hotel with saltillo tile floors and vigas in "vintage condition", but exceptional photos overhype the rooms which are pretty ordinary and need a little design refresh, seems a little neglected, needs to pamper and delight and didn't deliver. Public spaces and the bar have a nice brand which is a strong selling point - stay elsewhere and come to the bar for a gathering spot.
The property felt like home
I liked everything about the property and I found it a relief to find a place like this
Cute, comfortable mattress
Only negative was one of the bar tenders was rude
