Don Carlos Marbella

Only three days on a short break to Marbella and was curious about the Don Carlos as i had friends stay there previously. The hotel was just renovated and was beautiful. We stayed in a Junior Suite with Sea View and while it was a little grey in January it was nice to wake up with a Sea View - not something every hotel offers in Mykonos. The gym equipment was state of the art and the pools heated which meant a little rain didnt worry us. The property had really spacious gardens that went directly down to the beach also. Would love to go back a little later in the year.

In the past we had lunch many times with our company at the terrace by the swimming pool. It was wonderfull. Now after the rénovation the put plants between the testaurant and the pool. .you don't see the sea, the trèes or the pool anymore. Hopefully the hôtel réalises that this is à big mistake and remove this wall of plants. ...the we and many others will come back. Thanks

Hotel Don Carlos is the best hotel in Marbella, Costa Del Sol. Great location, beautiful garden, a private beach, swimming pools, tennis sport club, and the best on-site spa. The property has a bar in small garden next to the lobby, a restaurant with an open terrace for breakfast and dinner service, and a poolside restaurant operating during daytime hours. An additional restaurant is scheduled to open in January-February 2026, with construction currently underway.
The beach club is getting a makeover after this year's feedback! 🏖️ I saw the demolition start myself on December 1st, and the renovation is coming along impressively.
We are coming to this hotel for many years and we are particularly impressed with the recent comprehensive renovation. The hotel now presents an even more aesthetically pleasing and inviting ambiance. All guest rooms have undergone a complete refurbishment, featuring a serene and contemporary design. The bathroom fixtures are of high quality and are complemented by an excellent selection of amenities.

The breakfast area is exceptionally well-appointed, boasting an open terrace. The ambient music throughout the hotel is consistently smooth, easy-listening, and contributes significantly to a pleasant atmosphere. The food service is outstanding, offering a diverse and delicious culinary selection. The attentive and skilled waitstaff and chefs are adept at accommodating individual preferences and dietary requirements, including allergy awareness. The accommodations are remarkably quiet and impeccably clean. The fresh, pristine towels and crisp linens significantly enhance the comfort of our stay.

We thoroughly enjoy our stays here; the atmosphere is remarkably pleasant and tranquil. Despite the proximity of the children's club to the pool, its thoughtful placement ensures minimal disruption, as children's activities are contained. We wish to commend the entire hotel staff for their exceptional professionalism and dedication. Every employee consistently demonstrates a strong work ethic and a commitment to guest satisfaction. We consistently feel a sense of belonging, and it is evident that all guests receive the same high level of attentive service.

I attended an event at Hotel Don Carlos and the experience was excellent. The facilities were well maintained, the service was very professional, and everything was perfectly organized. Vanesa and Elias made us feel at home from the very first moment. Without a doubt, an ideal place for events in Marbella.

Our.time in Don carlos is marvelous, excelent location and wonderful staff. Everyone is so kind and helpful. They make us feel like at home and we have been travelling all around the world and here we feel special. Natasha and Adrian at the front desk are amazing as well as Maria in Guest Experience. Totally recomendable!

Just recently renovated, the Don Carlos Resort is a great place to stay in Marbella. Breakfast is amazing 👏 guys, staff is friendly and helpful and all the property is top notch.
Don't hesitate and don't miss this. A no brainer when going in the south of Spain.

Wonderful experience at Hotel Don Carlos!
We had a fantastic stay — everything was perfect from start to finish. The hotel is stunning, the staff are incredibly attentive, and the atmosphere is calm and welcoming. A truly relaxing getaway that we would love to repeat!

It was a 4 day trip for me and my husband. When we arrived at the hotel, Tony greeted us with drinks at the reception. He gave us a tour of the hotel. We had a Don Carlos Club See View room with full access to SPA lounge. Our room was very modern and beautiful. The sauna, steam room and the cold water therapy were the best! The hotel had beautiful garden and Rafa Nadal Tennis Club. The breakfast restaurant was overlooking the immaculate gardens. The Resort staff were more the helpful and accommodating. They were very helpful with restaurant recommendations and reservations. Both Tony and Aitana made our trip very special for us. Both were very attentive and made sure everything was to our satisfaction. It was a very special 4 day trip! To top it all off, Marbella is a very romantic city with so many amazing attractions., great food and best shopping! Thank you Don Carlos Resort and the Staff 🙏

We had a fantastic experience during our stay at Hotel Doncarlos. The renovation works were highly successful, with a modern upgrade of the entrance hall, restaurant, rooms, and the tennis and fitness club. Only the changes to the Nikki Beach Club have taken away some of its original charm, and the paid access should ideally be complimentary for hotel guests. The staff at Doncarlos are extremely friendly and helpful. Special thanks to Natalia. Her extensive knowledge allows her to recommend excellent local restaurants nearby. She adds extra shine to the hotel's 5 stars. Her hospitality and enthusiasm inspire guests to rebook their stay at Doncarlos.

Beautifully renovated hotel with a first rate, lovely staff. Terrific food in all of the restaurants and the spa is one of the best I’ve seen.

I received a wonderful welcome at Don Carlos Hotel Marbella. The hotel is modern and full of light and has been refurbished beautifully since my last visit!
My Deluxe room with sea views was stunning, along with a beautifully appointed bathroom with huge double ended walk in shower. Everywhere is spotlessly clean and housekeeping do a superb job!
The dining options are excellent, including delicious breakfast selections.
Above all, the staff are exceptional! Every member of staff I encountered were so courteous, warm, friendly and could not do enough to help!

Don Carlos is one of the best hotels we have ever been to. The staff is amazing, always smiling and trying to help. The food is very good and the rooms very clean. We had a super holiday break in the Don Carlos. The newly renovated hotel is 5 star+! The staff were extremely welcoming and nothing was too much trouble: friendly and efficient, particularly Patricia. We will be back in 2026!

From the first moment I walked into Don Carlos, to the moment my feet sadly left the ground there, it was the most exceptional experience. I have had the pleasure of staying in some very exclusive places, but Don Carlos excelled and leaves everywhere else in its shadow.
The staff stood out - from Guest experience input of Libby, Tony and Adrian, to Los Naranjos (Nora, Isias, and all the others who treated me with incredible kindness and professionalism), to all the others who I would love to name but have not written names down. Also the staff in Bar Manero, three wonderful ladies whose customer service and skills were fabulous. I must mention the restaurant Los Naranjos again - for the culinary excellence. I ate there breakfast and evening meals, 6 days. The evening menu was outstanding. The culinary experience in Sol y Sombra, by the pool was equally delectable.
I must say that the actual room was also beautiful. Compliments to the housekeeping staff for all their work, which was also perfect. Thank you.
I would return there without even thinking about it.
I went there solo, but I felt like I was part of a big family, in a completely comfortable and unintrusive manner. It was heavenly. Thank you Don Carlos for an amazing week.
