Sunbeam Hotel Pattaya

I stayed at this hotel over the Xmas period 2025
The last time i stayed here was about 15 years ago and i have got to say the standard has greatly improved .
The room i had was a fantastic big room big bathroom lots of hot water very comfortable bed and considering where the hotel is located it was very quiet.
Loved the Breakfast large selection of Thai western or Indian.
Staff were all fantastic except maybe some of the breakfast staff who could smile a little more.
Would stay here again.

I booked our stay well in advance and paid upfront for 4 nights. received a message from the hotel that the booking had been cancelled. I inquired that I had not cancelled the booking and that they should reinstate the booking. which they refused to do. and refused to refund. and wanted us to rebook and pay again. this is ridiculous and unprofessional for this greedy hotel wanting me to pay again, as I go Thailand 4 times a year and would have gave them plenty of business.

Went to the restaurant for a meal really great friendly service with class food will defo return again 2 starter 2 main a beer and a Diet Coke 550 bhat so nice and clean perfect service

Fourth time we’ve stayed here since first falling in love with the hotel in 2006 because the rooms were quiet, comfortable and dark, and the breakfast was amazing. The welcome drink used to be delicious and now it’s just a small cup of very sweet tea. The breakfast used to be so delicious that we’ve never had lunch in Pattaya after stuffing ourselves. It is now divided between Continental and Indian buffet room so we tried both and found both inedible. Stale bread, cold eggs, watery juice, bitter coffee and cold dishes. The biggest disappointment revealed a glaring issue that never materialized during our 3 prior stays. At around 4 am we were awoken by a drunk woman ringing our bell and banging on our door after doing the same to another room. Security dealt with it but made me realize that this part of the hotel can be accessed from the street with no human or key checks. I finally fell back asleep when I was awoken from 5 am to 6 am by a couple arguing in their room next door. I called security but that resulted in more noise (chatter and walkie-talkies) but no action so I put on my pants, rang the doorbell and told them to please be quiet but couldn’t fall back into deep sleep. I’m retired and I was already pushing it by indulging in the excesses of this amazing city. I need my recuperative sleep so I will never stay here again.

We had an amazing experience at Sunbeam Hotel Pattaya right from the moment we arrived. Our flight landed at DMK Thailand ✈️, and we came directly to the hotel around 9 AM, even though our check-in time was only at 2 PM. The staff were incredibly hospitable — they allowed us to store our luggage safely, offered us welcome drinks 🥤, and even provided towels so we could freshen up and change clothes despite not having our rooms yet. This thoughtful gesture meant a lot to us, as we had a full day of activities planned in Pattaya after a four-hour flight, and it truly saved us from being in an uncomfortable situation.

Throughout our stay, the staff were extremely friendly, helpful, and attentive to any requests we had. The rooms were very clean 🛏️ and well-maintained, with spotless bathrooms stocked with dental kits and other essentials. The hotel’s location is perfect — very close to Pattaya Beach 🏝️, surrounded by massage centers, restaurants, and with its own in-house restaurant as well.

The swimming pool area was fantastic 💦, with a pool bar offering a nice selection of food and drinks. We enjoyed relaxing there a lot. Room service was also excellent. The breakfast buffet 🍽️ was impressive, offering a variety of Thai dishes, some Indian options, and international selections — a great way to start the day.

Considering the price, the quality, location, and level of service were exceptional. We were a group of six, and every one of us felt well taken care of. I truly appreciate the management and staff for their hospitality and would gladly return here.

If you’re looking for a comfortable, well-located hotel in Pattaya with outstanding service, Sunbeam Hotel is, in my opinion, the best choice ✅.

pool was overcrowded and unable to swim.

Great place to stay but different style. The staff was very good but communications were not clear. Your room is equipped with an nice 65 inch HD TV. The refrigerator has lots of goodies inside but not sure if they are free of charge. The 3 elevators are the best in the area they go up and they go down. The hotel has a huge restaurant but no one uses it. The 2nd floor POOL is beautiful and larger that most hotels. Try everything to make sure it works. Recommend you book SEAVIEW ROOMS only.

Great location within walking distance to everything.

Only 2 days but close to the beach.

The lobby looks decent but the rooms are small and weirdly made. The bathroom has a weird smell which seeps into the room as well.
No dental kits, hand towels provided when we checked in. Even after the room was cleaned the bath towels weren't replaced.
At the time of check out, the reception said that no porters are available. Falsely rated 4 star. At best, it should be called an average 3 star hotel

Staff was amazing

I give it top reccomendations, but they where renovating the rooms, at our floor so there was noice from 10am to 5pm.

Old and Noisy

I found some of the guest quite rude, also I got mistaken for being Thai from behind, 2 asian indian men knocked on my sons door 1005 on the 10th floor at 3Am one morning, because they had seen him with Thai girls, they asked him if they could join in, he were disgusted with them, one of the security men asked him if he had some spare money to buy food.

One of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had from start to finish to the point I checked out early and left….

The hotel is in a good location, close to the beach road and night life.
The room was a good size with a comfortable bed, bath and separate shower.
The room was clean and had 2 balconies.
Breakfast was good as was the laundry service. Even though the hotel is close to bars, it is relatively quiet in the evenings.

Very hard to get much sleep peoples children playing in the hallways a lot of door slamming and loud talking late at night
