Rooms are ok. Quiet, bar area nice. Lady on reception was exceptional. I think it was value for money still even though it wasnt perfect but for £100 a night its worth it!
Dont want to be nagative as we like the place its tge third stay for us.
The staff were attentive and charming.
The hotel was gloomy with black décor, dark wood and dim lighting the outstanding features. The flickering lights in the dining area and background music matching the volume of conversations so was anything but background. The shower curtain did not shield the bathroom floor so the floor was quickly soaked. Bedroom lighting was so dim, desk and bedside lights were needed for reading. Other small matters added up to a view that the hotel should review its customer services.

Lots of on site parking easy check in, friendly staff. Room was comfortable bed was big and comfy no traffic noise.

The room was ok but tired with really worn carpets
The lack of staff / breakfast area dirty, breakfast not availlable complaint made - no contact from reception manager poor apprentice left holding the forte no refund made as yet
Staff on reception were lovely and I had an iron/ironing board waiting for me as requested. Room was clean and bed was comfy.
No water provided in the bedrooms .. first time I have ever stayed with no water provided and very stingy with tea/coffee provided .. 2 of each and not enough milk. No biscuits, no toiletries just liquid soap. Very little hanging spaces and rooms a bit tired. Breakfast was awful, worst I have ever had. Bacon, sausage and eggs dried out. Had to scrape beans from the bottom of the tray. Very poor cold choices out of everything … only 1 croissant put out at a time so far as pasties. Had to ask for spoons, milk, orange juice, cups and that was at 9am … it felt like we were at the end of service! Only 2 staff so loads of dirty tables.
Good location for what we needed
Breakfast was poor on both days, ran out of food, needed to wait for more of everything, Seemed unorganised and unprepared.

Poor phone signal and gym facilities are very small/limited
I love this hotel and the bar and restaurant but it is a little overpriced food wise
I’ve stayed several times before but in 20 odd years the decor hasn’t changed. The beds and furniture are really in need of an upgrade
