Bay Gardens Inn

The location of the property is excellent, just a stroll away from the mall, the supermarket, restaurants and a number of entertainment spots. It is also a short walk to the beach area, the breakfast was good with lots of different options to choose from.

Très bel accueil chaleureux, personnel avenant et à l'écoute. Chambre très confortable, côté Bay Garden Inn très calme. Bien situé.

We are frequent visitors to St Lucia and like to stay in small typical Caribbean style hotels, the last two visits we stayed at the Bay Gardens Marina Haven which is fine so for a change this year we stayed at The Bay Gardens Inn.
The Inn is separate from the Bay Gardens Hotel although all our meals and Bar service was provided at the Bay Gardens which is across a side road so this didn't pose any problems at all.
When we arrived we were greeted by Natalie a friendly reception staff member who efficiently dealt with our check in and we were soon off to our room. We had a room on the first floor overlooking the pool and gardens. The room was a typical Caribbean Hotel room and furnished in the dark Brown wooden style typical of the region Some would say dated but perfectly functional, plenty of wardrobe space lots of cupboards a fridge freezer Microwave oven some plates and cutlery wine glasses and other drinks glasses the fridge had beer and soft drinks and water therein (not replaced) There was an Iron in the wardrobe and a hair dryer. A large TV adorned the wall whether it worked or not I do not know I never switched it on in the fortnight I was there !!!!! The bathroom consisted of a large walk in shower sink unit and a toilet. There was a cupboard for towels but nowhere to hang the towel which would have been useful. The aircon unit was efficient there was also a ceiling fan which I find useful at night time when I turn the aircon off. In room safe located in the wardrobe which was easy to use. A kettle along with some tea bags and coffee.
The AI drinks package good draught bottled Piton good spirit and cocktail selection food; Breakfast varied and generally good Lunch time fixed menu a little disappointing from past visits to their restaurant and different to their website Menus The same for the evening meal there needs to be more variation but the offerings served were of a good quality but there needs to be a change of menu a couple of times a week.
The staff were all good the service in the main was good a couple of days it drifted a bit but it was fine. I mentioned Natalie I think it is Paulita a receptionist at The Inn who is very good walking around the pool at the Inn to ensure all was well. I mention the pool at the Inn a lovely quiet place to exist plenty of Sun beds all in all a good stay and we will be returning. I forgot to mention Beach towels which are available from the towel hut at The Bay gardens Hotel

For the price, the room was clean and the staff was friendly. A nice small buffet style breakfast was included! Many activities included with a shuttle to the main resort. The local store’s & restaurants were in easy walking distance.

La proximité avec le commerce. La possibilité d’avoir des taxis à proximité pour vous permettre de vous déplacer dans l’île sans problème. Nous avons eu une merveilleuse réceptionniste.

Quiet room with balcony and view over the pool. Several restaurants close by and walking distance to the beach.

Excellent breakfast, especially the Sunday breakfast.Fantastic staff. I went with my mum and she was well looked after. The free shuttle between the sites. The tours. We took the “Tout Bagay” tour. Excellent!

Excellent and easily accessible

Hôtel à proximité de nombreuses commodités. Navette à disposition pour se rendre à la plage située près du resort. Bon petit-déjeuner. Piscine agréable. Bonne literie.

I booked to stay at this hotel from 10 November 2025 as a solo female traveller from the UK. I arrived around 10am and it was only myself and the receptionist at the desk. I was happy to have arrived and was stroking a cat in the reception area, however, the receptionist was very rude and unwelcoming. She was asking questions about what room I booked and where and which hotel ??? - I did not understand what she meant and I told her this - she was mumbling and it was all very confusing. I had booked the hotel through Hotels.com. The booking included ALL taxes and this was mentioned in the small print. The receptionist kept telling me to sit down and wait and she would walk off and come back - she said it was because I had booked last minute. She kept coming back and forth - I did not know what was going on. She then eventually told me that she would work out what I owed them. I explained I had paid everything to Hotels.com. Tried to show her the receipt on my phone which she did not look at. She wrote on a bit of paper that I owed 931 ECD. I said that I did not owe anything as I had paid everything to Hotels.com. She said that reservations were not in and that it would all have to be worked out properly. Again, I said that I did not owe any more money. I was not allowed to check in until 4pm, which I already knew, so she told me to leave my case and come back at 4pm and she would have worked out what I owed. I again said that I owed nothing. I felt like I was being ripped off and did not feel safe to stay at this hotel as a single female. I could not afford to pay any more money. I was also unsure as to whether there actually was a room available as she had been so vague - I could not understand what she was trying to communicate to me. As a result of this and for my own safety, I booked an early flight back to the UK for the same day. When I collected my case the reception area was busy and her attitude had changed and she said to me "Miss, you don't actually owe any money". I took my case and left. Terrible experience for a solo female traveller. I love the Caribbean and that was my third trip to Saint Lucia and I have never experienced such rudeness and horrible attitude before. I have always been greeted with warmth and a friendly, reassuring welcome. I was shocked and appalled that I was treated in such a way as a paying guest. I felt unsafe and I booked a flight home. I am still waiting for any type of response and apology from the hotel and a refund.

The hotel grounds and pool area are very nice. The rooms were adequate, but could have used some updating. The bathroom was adequate but the water pressure was poor on the second level, even through we changed rooms. The bathrooms also could have used ventilation fans. The property and rooms were very clean.

Breakfast was included in our package and the servers were very attentive. We especially enjoyed Lee Ann Felix who was a regular server that we looked forward to having serve us. There was a variety of food choices for the breakfast, which was served at the Bay Gardens Hotel, next to the Bay Gardens Inn.

A free shuttle was available to take us to the other properties: the Bay Gardens Marina Haven and the Bay Gardens Beach Resort which was right on the water.
