Pros:

Location was great and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Cons:

The bed was very uncomfortable with overly springy mattress. There wasn’t a shower in the room, only a bath. The room which was £270 didn’t come with breakfast!

Beautiful hotel in the centre of town
Pros:

Fantastic location

Cons:

My room was on the small size and at the time the weather was stifling which impacted my sleep. The fan proved didn’t help much.

Have stayed twice now and will almost certainly stay again.
Pros:

Very friendly staff, and the location is ideal right in the centre of town. Generous breakfast and comfy lounge bar area.

Cons:

Car park can get a little congested and there is building work going on resulting in some daytime noise.

Perfectly satisfactory if a little pricey at times!
Pros:

Good location, accommodating staff, lots of history. Good breakfast.

Cons:

The building works under our room and no way to open the windows- sealed by paint!

Lovely old pub. Good breakfast too.
Pros:

Lovely old pub in great location

Cons:

The only thing that let our stay down was not having a kettle in our room. Using the Nespresso machine to boil water for tea didn’t really work for us. Other than that we enjoyed our stay there.

Staff great hotel poor , hotel lets the staff down
Pros:

The staff are a credit to the hotel , very friendly and helpful

Cons:

Bedrooms could really do with a major overhaul , I was surprised in the booklet that the rooms have all been done we was on the bottom floor and we could hear the people above walking everywhere creaked all the time it’s a shame because the hotel is in a prime location
