Nice place to stay for a weekend. There’s not much to do but the restaurant was good and everything was relaxing and peaceful.
Friendly people
The property itself is beautiful! We have stayed there multiple times in the past few years due to the convenience of location near our friends home.
If you are looking for updated room, this is not for you. It is extremely rustic.
An aging golf resort that could use some updating. Staff and service were excellent. The room was immaculately clean. The reviews had us unnecessarly nervous about check it. Go to the restaurant/bar, ask for your key. Not difficult at all.
There is no elevator. This was fine for us, but could be an issue for some.
We would stay here again.
Had a wedding here and it was absolutely beautiful. The staff went above and beyond. Everyone was friendly, happy and more than willing to assist us.
We enjoyed the time spent in the lodge.
The staff, drinks, food, particularly the Sunday brunch, and live music by METRO consistently surpass expectations. This charming lodge offers live entertainment, sleeping rooms, a cigar bar, golfing, restaurant and bar, poker tables, and a speakeasy, making it a highly recommended destination.
The property is an old rustic lodge as expected. I don't feal like it was worth the money. First night had no tv and no radio in the room. Text the help number never got a text back. Second night tv worked. The room was very basic refridge was it. The room was extremely clean. In the bathroom the ceiling tile above the shower was broke leaving a large hole open to the rafters. The check in was confusing with no front desk but doable thanks to a very helpful employee. Check out was simple.
We stayed the night of my nephews wedding there and it was wonderful!
We went with a group of 8 friends to try for the first time this past Thursday. The wings were excellent and some got burgers and the Ruben sandwich. We are definitely going back and bringing more friends. We were there at dark and can’t wait to see it during the day.
The property was immaculate. The employees were very friendly.
The mattress was horrible. The television was terrible.
We couldn't watch anything that we wanted.
Cozy stay. Great couple get a way. Enjoyed the lounge.
Walls could have better sound proofing.
Hard to say as we were passing through and booked a night last minute but the place was nice . Hostess though not there when we checked in was very helpful. Would definitely go back
Great place to stay 👌
Pros: room was large, comfy bed, nice balcony and view. Nice bathroom, very clean.
Cons: room oddly laid out, no chair, odd lighting, strange check-in procedure
Very Nice place! Owner is hands on and very friendly as well as his staff
The entrance was beyond confusing. No one available to check in or take payment. Ended up trying to call the lodge and it just went to the machine over and over. Just weird. The room was comfortable tho.
Hotels.com you allowed us to book a hotel that was closed on the day we booked. They're always closed on Tuesdays. Our credit card had been charged $165.89 from Jun 11. Can you help us out with this? I have left voicemail for them but have not heard back.
Wife and I stayed one night for our anniversary after visiting the Flight 93 Memorial, Friday to Saturday. Ate at the restaurant and the food was very good. King bed was very comfortable, but the layout of the room was a little off. Like to watch a little tv before going to bed but the bed doesn't face the tv. The tv is to the side of the bed and there is no nightstand on one side of the bed nearest the tv. Although not sure what can be done unless you take out the pony wall and get rid of the couch. Bathroom was nice but not a lot of room on the sink to store items, (makeup, razor, shave cream etc). Thin walls or maybe the people in the next room were just load. 1:30am and they were still talking load and making a lot of noise. The view from the balcony was nice. Was able to see the rolling hills but not too much of the lake. Maybe in the winter when the leaves are off the trees you can see the lake better. The balcony does need some attention though. Cobwebs need to be removed from the railing and the outdoor lights. Maybe when housekeeping cleans the rooms, they can give the deck a once over. Wish there was a way to turn off the balcony lights to keep the bugs from flying around at night. It was nice in the morning, sitting out there with a cup of coffee. They offer breakfast but not much to it. My wife drinks hot tea in the morning but the hot water container was empty. There was a toaster there for bread or beagles, but none were laid out. There were some beagles in a bag in the back of the fridge but didn't think it was a good idea putting hands in the bag to get a beagle if everyone else was putting their hands in the bag. Also wasn't sure what was for the breakfast or for the wedding that was scheduled that day. Saw large containers of fruit but assumed they were for the wedding. Overall, the room and lodge was very nice. Was able to get a good night sleep, even with the loud neighbors.
Property is very outdated. Halls and rooms smelled damp and moldy. Walls are thin in the rooms. Overpriced in my opinion.
Staff is outstanding and friendly.
