Comfortable rooms but outdoor space is below expectations
Pros:

It is as located near the city center and was very quiet at night. The rooms are spacious with comfortable beds and pillows and great towels.

Cons:

From the pictures, i thought that I would be able to relax on the beach but it is too rocky to sit on or to swim without water shoes. Also, the breakfast buffet is as the same every day which is disappointing since we were there for 6 nights. We were also wondering why the umbrellas were not opened on sunny days where shade is needed and why there were not more umbrellas. People had to sit against the wall to get shade on hot days. Lastly, the tiny WC in the room is very uncomfortable.

Pros:

Location and staff super helpful. New Sun loungers and patio furniture lovely. View as always fabulous. I love the underground parking we booked it last year and this year. The new tea selection at breakfast was lovely

New decor a bit pretentious. Terrace outdoor wobbly .shower not powerful in the room , no lock on the bathroom door so when the patio door was open the bathroom door blew open in a room for 3 peopleprivacyis essential. Furniture blocking the patio door. New breakfast menu again a bit pretentious.I tried to book direct,it was no cheaper than booking.com ,I feel it should be. I feel guests should be asked not to use mobiles at breakfast inside and on the terrace as a matter of courtesy totally spoilt our breakfast. Not keen on the new scrambled egg a bit heavy nice taste but not fluffy. Bread choice for the toaster poor. Yes I am complaining that is only because I feel the potential is there to be near perfect, I love this hotel x

Rannalla, kivasti sisustettu
Pros:

Merinäköala parvekkeelta, hotellin terassi päättyi mereen, enemmän rannalla ei voisi hotelli olla.
Sisustus oli mietitty, tehty kodinomaiseksi. Hyllyillä koriste-esineitä ja kirjoja. Ihana "ladonovi"-liukuovi kaapin edessä.
Ilmasointi, joka tosin alkuun vaikutti heikolta, mutta heräsi myöhemmin henkiin.
Tosi leveä ja hyvä parisänky.
Kiva terassialue vieraiden käytössä, siellä myös voi tilata juomia ja pientä purtavaa.
Hyvä aamiainen.

Cons:

Huone oli melko pieni, eikä matkalaukuille oltu ajateltu tilaa. Yhden yön oleskelulla ei viitsinyt laukkuja purkaa kaappiin.
Todella pieni wc-koppi, oli erillinen tila, jossa kookkaampi ihminen ei mahdu asioimaan ainakaan ovi kiinni, jos ollenkaan.
Huoneessa oli hyvin vähän laskutilaa/pöytätilaa.
Mielestäni kallis siihen nähden ettei ollut ravintolaa ja lähinmmät ravintolat oli 10 ja 20 min kävelymatkan päässä, jossa myös uimaranta.

Personeel was zeer onaardig. Ongeïnteresseerd en zeker niet gastvrij! Bedden een drama. Parkeer beleid slecht. Drank bestellen ging moeilijk rond 21.00 terwijl de bar om 22.00 sluit. Maar de dame had al gepoetst. Dus liever niets bestellen! Rond 21.30 ook niet meer iemand aanwezig.

Tolle Unterkunft für einen Besuch von La Rochelle

Sehr nettes Personal, schönes Zimmer mit Klimaanlage und direktem Blick auf das Meer; schöne Terrasse und schöner Frühstücksraum; feines Frühstück

Cons:

Das Hotel ist von aussen nicht besonders schön, Marke alter Kasten aus den 80zigern, aber innen alles toll renoviert; das Rührei: wie schafft man es so schlechtes Rührei zu machen? Kommt es nur aus einem Beutel, der im Wasserbad erwärmt worden ist?
